Sr. Project Manager / Scrum Master – Pipeline Registration Systems
I was called in to rescue a project to automate the pipeline registration system. It was an 8.5 months project that spent about 5 months developing requirements. The budget was projected to be going to 118 % (maximum allowed was 110%) and the delivery date was questionable. The work involved the development of 120 screens, 500,000 lines of code, spatial (Shapefiles – GIS) and data conversion, integration with IRIS, 4000 lines of test cases and more than 2000 events. The budget was about $2MM and managed 2 business analysts, 2 architects, 7 developers and more than 10 SMEs. I reorganized the project, developed a detailed project plan to achieve the completion of the work by the delivery date and delivered the project on time, at 107.5% and with high quality (only 1 defect per thousand lines of code (industry average is 30-50)).

For 6 months CBS was trying unsuccessfully launch the subject project. In 6 weeks after they hired me we had the project organized and an RFP to the acquisition of a cloud-based solution across multiple channels (email. Phone, Facebook, Web chat, Twitter, Instagram, etc) approved and sent to 8 vendors. We evaluated responses and selected a vendor.
We deployed nationally to 35 permanent clinics, 28 mobiles clinics and the National Contact Centre. We used an Agile approach with 3 weeks sprints / Scrum Master and an integrated plan. We selected best in class Clarabridge and Customerville platforms, cloud-based solutions. Completed the pilot work mid December 2018 including bidirectional SAP CRM interfaces (SAP CRM is the authoritative source of data), case management, ITIL based service catalogs, data analytics, sensitivity analysis and donor feedback management. Deployment completed end of Feb 2019.

I managed the migration and automation of 350 uranium contracts (multiple materials, currencies, countries, compliance requirements, inventories, etc) from a legacy system to SAP (CPE for pricing; GTM for contract, BRF+ for logic, DCS for derivatives, MM for purchases, SD for sales, GRC/IAM for access control, SAP Inventory and SAP Financials) utilizing agile methodology (TFS - 3 week sprints) / Scrum Master. Integration with SAP Financials and SAP Treasury (Capital markets, Cash management, debt management, Risk management). Data governance strategy and implementation for contract data in SAP. ITIL based service catalogs. Compliance with SOx. MS Project Server. About 500 transports. The automation enabled the reorganization and centralization of the Sales and Marketing functions delivering $10 MM is savings.

The work included the data anlysis, data mapping, migration of assets from IFDS, Ingenium and RBC Dexia ($3B) to Citi’s Unitrax/MPower system which included the normalization and clean-up of 500,000 data records. The data cleanup included the categorization of data, data structure/model (existing and target), development of conversion programs/tools and verification, QA and conversion. The mutual fund company was seeded with $16MM. Built new data centre and relocated system. Opened 34 markets and converted everything back to Canadian FX. IIROC, SOX and Risk Management Compliant. Multiple vendor management and integration activities including EDW for reporting and BI activities. DCP support and configuration.
