Work History:

September 2022 to September 2023 NCC Developments. Nunavut: Multi unit apartment with commercial space on the ground floor. General Carpenter responsible for various duties as requested by the site superintendent. Worked on the building envelope in preparation for siding. Install rez-bar in preparation of drywall install. Drywall install. Install prefab stairs in stairwell adjusting framing and flooring to accommodate same. Framing stair railing to receive drywall. Hang and adjust doors as well as door hardware including closers on exterior doors. Placed an aluminum door entry system. Many other tasks as requested

March 2021 to September 2022: Ironclad Developments Ltd: Multi unit apartment buildings in Kanata as well as Orleans in the Ottawa area. General Carpenter responsible for various duties as requested by the foreman or site superintendent.

February to May 2020: Supervisor for Qillaq Innovations, Cambridge Bay, Nunavut. Responsible for day to day operations related to the construction aspects of the company. Organize work duties of the carpenters and other trades with the tasks that came up on a daily basis. Managed in-calls for the rental units the company was contracted to manage. Ordering supplies as required. Lay off due to Covid.

June to August 2020: Osprey Construction Vancouver Island. Lead Carpenter doing what was asked by the owner of the company. All aspects of carpentry from concrete form work to finish work.

September to December 2020: GC North Construction Iqaluit Nunavut. Went to Iqaluit to work on the final completion of a ten-plex under construction. Duties included insulating and sealing the building envelope. Completed the soffit on the underside of the building. Interior framing. Drywall install. Various finishing jobs which included cabinet install, door hardware, adjusting doors, adjust cabinet doors and drawers, closet shelving to name a few items.

2013 to 2019: Northview Apartments REIT Construction and Development, Lead hand, Acting foreman, Acting site super, Iqaluit,Cambridge Bay, Canmore, Calgary, Lethbridge, Yellowknife, Lloydminster and Regina.

Renovation on various buildings in Norman Wells. Replacement of kitchens and baths. Exterior deck replacement and some new ones as well. Worked on the set-up of a fifty man camp for a local civil contractor. Ensured subcontractors compliance with specifications and timelines for their scope of work as well as documenting daily on-site activities and progress

June 2011 to May 2013: Dowland Contracting Inuvik K to 12 school project. Various carpentry related tasks as directed by the site supervisor and foreman. Cambridge Bay Kitikmeot Inuit Association office building. Lead hand. Machine operations Rough terrain forklift, Elevated Work Platform as well as skid steer. Directed skilled labor on various tasks around the job site. Assisted sub-trades when needed. Material handling into and out of the building.

May 2007 to June 2011: Dave Dettweiller construction, Laborer/apprentice. Various labor functions. Commercial projects ( dairy barns) prep grades for concrete walls and flatwork. Concrete formwork. Install steel structure and placed curtain walls. New home as well as renovation on older homes.
