Accountable for the NA Master PDC in Memphis, Tennessee, a 650k square foot facility, supporting five Cummins businesses. Responsible for all Planning, Customer Support, IT, HR, and Operations, a $60M budget, and $1B in sales.

Negotiated and managed three 3PL contracts including transportation, warehouse workforce, and maintenance

Reduced operating costs from 7.6% to 7.2%. Implemented world class systems and improved delivery performance.

Created diverse, inclusive work environment that resulted in excellent retention and two consecutive annual Corporate Community Involvement Awards as recognized by the Black Business Association of Memphis.

Cummins Engine Company – Indianapolis/Memphis

June 1996 to January 1998: Director – Operations

Led network distribution study for North America. Determined a NA consolidation strategy and relocation to Memphis. Resulted in a $1.2M OPEX reduction.

Led the construction of the new leased facility in Memphis and all elements of the transition of the Indianapolis facility, plus four others, to the new Memphis facility.

Led the complete start-up, including facility construction, lease negotiation, hiring of all new employees in all functions, and the negotiation and signing of three new 3PL contracts.

Construction and total relocation and consolidation was completed in approximately nine months.
