security services, training (any subject matter), probate estate accounting for lawyers, referrals, business plans,
proposals, grants, statistical studies/reports, edit/rewrites for businesses and individuals. My business start-up was
inspired by my education, diverse life experiences, the DC Mediation Center, the Peace Corp and experiences via
employment with the Federal government. I separated from U.S. Dept. of Treasury in 1995, after 14 years of
service and numerous awards; and because agency relocated from Washington DC to Parkersburg, WVA.

Position: Certified Mediator, Contractor. Mediate and conciliate private sector and DC Government complaints
of discrimination. The Office covers more than 19 protected classes, i.e., race, sex, national origin, sexual
orientation, gender ID . . . and seeks to eliminate illegal discrimination in the areas of employment, housing,
public accommodations, educational institutions . . . participated in training for OHR mediators, i.e., EEOC &
HUD Updates, Family Medical Leave Act, and the Returning Citizens Act/Criminal Background Checks. Upon
joining the OHR Roster of Mediators, I observed 2 mediations; then co-mediated 3 mediation sessions before
taking the helm —a great training tool that readily exposes new mediators to new and unusual situations.

Position: Contract Mediator. Formulated and prepared settlement agreements. Encouraged and assisted parties to
formulate agreement terms - pertaining to family visitations, child custody and support, child neglect/abuse,
calculate child support payments, and property settlements for divorce cases . . . would sometimes use visual
displays and diagrams to emphasis various points of importance for consideration by the parties.
Mediation results were immediately reported to the appropriate judge.
