● I started out as a cashier
- As a cashier I earned high ranking percentages of cashiers across the entire company multiple times.
● I was a morning stocker for some time.
- This position at menards consisted of stocking shelves and facing products to keep the aisles looking tidy.
● Another position that I did was being on the sales floor as a cabinets and appliances team member.
- In this department I would regularly be left alone as the acting department manager.
- In this position I had to learn how to use the design software in order to design rooms for guests.
- The designing aspect of this job consisted of learning what the guest wanted in the room they were trying to upgrade. Upgrading rooms ranged from kitchen, bathrooms, closets, businesses, etc.
- The other side of this position was being a sales representative for all home appliances.
- This job also included various everyday tasks from cleaning, various office duties, answering phone calls, sticking to a schedule, following certain policies and procedures, opening or closing the department on my own, putting new appliance displays out on the floor, greeting guests with great care, etc.
● The final position I was part of at menards was the Plan-O-Gram team.
- This job was responsible for setting up seasonal displays such as Halloween and Christmas.
- This team was incharge of setting other displays and rearranging the way that aisles flowed for each department around the store.
- This job required me to follow a timeframe for how fast different plan-o-grams had to be done. This also required me to know each department more in depth due to being asked questions about the department from guests.
- When we were not setting plan-o-grams we would check each department to see if the department needed help with anything. If not we spent our time putting freight away for various departments.
