Human Activity Recognition Using Smartphone
Our project aimed at the recognition of human activities like walking, sitting, sleeping, standing, and limping using smartphone sensors.
We used different Machine Learning Classification algorithms like Logistic Regression, Naïve Bayes, K-Nearest Neighbor, Random Forest, and Support Vector Machine to recognize human activity. Results are calculated in terms of efficiency and precision. Big Data Analysis on NYC Civil List
This project involved the NYC Civil dataset and utilized advanced data technologies. I developed a scalable system architecture on Azure VM—using Docker for containerization.
I also supervised data storage and integration, employing both Postgres and MongoDB databases; these implementations were key in managing massive amounts of information effectively. I leveraged PySpark for data processing and transformation; specifically, I converted the data into Parquet format to boost efficiency. Through a rigorous process of exploratory data analysis, I managed to visualize results—I also carried out cluster analysis: an effective method that provided invaluable insights.
