OBJECTIVES
MANAGE ALL LOGISTICS OPERATIONS ON BEHALF OF THE COMPANY
Co ordinate and supervise the reviewing all records of purchased goods, including their costs, deliveries and inventories and the delivery of products and equipment for the proper processing of assigned customer orders
Carrying out market analysis to get the best purchasing deals and compare prices of goods from different suppliers, analyzing sales patterns and inventory levels of existing stock, and staying up-to-date on market changes that can affect the supply and prices of goods needed in my company.
Manage activities such as clearing shipments at the port, customs brokerage, liaise with and coordinate with terminal operators, shipping company, third party transporters, loading Facility operators, third party vendors, other agencies (NAFDAC, COBOLT, Quarantine) etc.
COORDINATION AND SUPERVISION OF EQUIPMENT LEASING/MAINTENANCE:
Develop equipment lease department policies and procedures with strict adherence to company policies.
Design and integrate Company own transportation fleet of trucks, cranes, Tug boats, House boats and other marine support equipments.
Ensure department activities is performed timely, effective and within budget frames.
Supervise the operational activities of equipment leasing
LOGISTICS / TRANSPORT OPERATIONS SUPPORT:
Liaise with Transport department for booking, dispatching of trucks, other operational vehicles and drivers,
set up loading and trans-loading schedules,
Set up pickup and delivery appointments,
Set up bookings with shipping company for collection of containers, stuffing and unstuffing of containers and subsequent export on behalf of client
Negotiate terms, rates and contracts with clients and vendors,
Tracking and monitoring of all shipment and keeping client and management abreast of all developments concerning every shipment (delivery status)
Ensure materials or shipment are delivered according to the established schedule
Confirm and liaise with the warehouse manager to ensure all shipments received at our bonded warehouse and terminal are in good condition
Liaise with accounts department about invoices before they are prepared and sent out
Coordinate and Liaise with the marine department for the movement and maintenance of barges, tug boats and other marine equipment offshore (SEPLAT/ NPDC SINOPEC)
provide marine logistics support for rigs or were required
Coordinate the movement of personnel such as security personnel to various sites and locations, movement of field office
CO ORDINATE EXPORT AND IMPORT LOAD OUTS
Co ordinate the activities of export including customs processing of all documents from WACT till it is loaded on board the hatch
Supervise and liaise with cobalt for inspection of export and NCX documents to be collected and documented.
Supervise the field workers on loading of import and processing of gate papers for containers to leave terminal.
Seeing to the generation of assessment and supervising duty payment or duty transfer letter with the bankers involved.
General supervision for the release from shipping company with efficient work atmosphere.
Suggest alternative measures and procedures to improve the supply chain process and resolve issues concerning logistics for clients. .
