• After visiting several indigenous communities in Brazilian Amazon in 2015 initiated an online fundraiser, written up in Brazil’s Rede Globo, to purchase a motorboat and building supplies for one particular community belonging to the Tukano ethnicity.

• Successfully purchased and transported a 6 m motorboat several hundreds of miles from Manaus to Comunidade São Jorge in the Alto Rio Negro, allowing this community greatly increased access to regional health services. 2016 COMUNIDADE WARUA ALTO RIO NEGRO, BRAZIL

• After learning about the remarkable story of the Dâw People and visiting their reservation in the Alto Rio Negro, donated a portion of his personal savings to kickstart an initiative in Comunidade Waruá to revive traditional handicrafts, thus opening economic avenues for the Dâw and bolstering cultural preservation.

• Continues to correspond with Dâw leaders and discuss strategies for cultural and linguistic preservation. He has been granted a standing invitation to return to Comunidade Waruá. Skills/Interests Fluent in Portuguese and Spanish. Proficient with Microsoft Office.
