Nic Ventura – Senior Data/Infrastructure/VM Technical Architect

acy6dm@r.postjobfree.com (614) 264 – 3937

Professional Summary

Mr. Ventura is a Senior Architect with extensive experience delivering bare-metal and virtualized system data and infrastructure integration, migration, support and services to the public and private sectors; including the federal government (Department of Defense – DOD, United States Air Force – USAF, US Department of Labor - DOL) and state/local government (State of Ohio, City of Denver). His experience includes large complex configurations and implementations. He has experience with hundreds of terabytes of data, millions of batch records and online execution requirements of transactions by the thousands per second. In addition, he has successfully delivered advanced solutions using frameworks and methodologies including TOGAF and Zachman frameworks while satisfying Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) requirements of systems integrating data feeds from hundreds of trading partners while also leading programming and engineering efforts associated with enterprise scale Oracle technology deployments; this includes several Oracle technologies (Oracle Databases 9i/10g/11g/12c, Oracle Enterprise Manager – OEM, Oracle Elastic Cloud on VMware, Oracle Exalogic, Oracle Exadata, Oracle Single Sign-on, OEM Grid Control, Oracle Real Application Clusters – RAC, Oracle DataGuard, Oracle GoldenGate, Oracle Application Services – OAS, Oracle Business Intelligence Tools, Oracle Forms/Reports, and Oracle Discoverer).

In keeping with the advances in cloud computing Mr. Ventura developed techniques for migrating legacy enterprise application system infrastructures into cloud-based and “X as a service” architectures. These techniques were successfully executed and delivered during multiple engagements listed below and are “cloud agnostic” - they can be used on migration projects regardless of the cloud provider of service. As part of the migration services role-based access control (RBAC) Oracle technologies as part of the identity and access management were used during integration of legacy systems as well as new deployment to the private clouds. Lastly, he has achieved a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems/Management Information Systems and achieved a Masters in Heterogeneous Database and Networking from Oracle University.
