SUMMARY OF CAREER AND SKILLS

I received two master’s degrees in Film and Media and in Philosophy. More than 20 years of my professional career includes journalism, working for different national and international NGOs and projects in the areas of program management, formal and non-formal education, ICT and print based materials development, democracy, parliamentary affairs, civic rights and communicative English language teaching and learning.

Having more than 12 independent published books, I am a Bengali writer and blogger, write satires and fictions on socio-cultural, environmental and mythological issues for more than twenty-five years. I am also one of the Co-founder of the promising and award winning publishing house ‘Shuddhashar’ in Bangladesh, which is renowned as the core platform for publishing secular books and progressive writings. At present, voluntarily I am involved with the ‘Shuddhashar’ as the Chairperson for the Script Nomination Committee.

In the theatre scene of Bangladesh, I was involved with a renowned group theatre organization ‘Desh Natak’. My involvement in theatre includes script writing, directing and conducting coaching activities for members. I was also involved with making films for both broadcasting and non-broadcasting medium in Bangladesh.

I am one of the winners of British Council’s International Elton Award 2013 for innovation on ICT in education and Association of American Publisher (AAP)’s ‘Freedom to Publish Award 2015 to the publication house Shuddhashar.

Provide technical assistance and advice to management on institutionalization and sustainability activities of EIA within the GOB programmes and Institutions;

Strategic planning and formulating programmatic direction;
