• Acceptance of the Defence Logistics Data Infrastructure concept pilot Capability Sustainment Development Director GDUK (Nov 2003 to June 2005) Worlds 5th largest defence company. •Development of business processes and organisation to operate and exploit the Capability Sustainment (CS) business area

•Jointly with Exec VP identified and implemented Support as a discrete business DIF DTC Programme Director GDUK - (Dec 2002 to Nov 2003) GDUK specialises in Battlefield digitisation, communications and ISTAR solutions. The Data and Information Fusion Defence Technology Centre (DIF DTC) was the first and most highly complex and most successful R&D programme launched by the MoD. Responsible to the Vice President R&D for:

•Development of business processes and organisation to operate and exploit the Data and Information Fusion Defence Technology Centre (DIF DTC Programme Director).

•Support aspects of the GDUK Foundation (a doctrinal academic body).

•Liaison with and management of all 11 DTC partner organisations Including MoD, BTExact, QinetiQ and 8 universities.

•Consultation and technical input on strategic and operational ISTAR issues.

•Specialist personnel evaluation and selection.

Achieved:

• Saving of £2.13M to GDUK over the 6-year life of the DIF DTC, by negotiation with the UK MoD contracts branch. Managed the simultaneous launch of 37 discreet R&D projects with a total value of £27M (Programme value of £60M)

• Negotiated new payment structure for the DIF DTC Programme achieving both savings and improved spend profile.

• Grew the IR&D dept. from 2 to 14 productive personnel in 6 months to deliver programme. BAE Systems – Military Aircraft Division & Saudi Arabia – (1990 – 2001) Senior Imagery Analyst (SIA). (RMEF Manager of Systems) BAE Systems plc. 1991-2001 The Reconnaissance Intelligence Centre (RIC) was the operationally critical Reconnaissance asset of the Saudi Military, with support responsibilities beyond base level. In addition to the duties listed in the 1990-1991period;Responsible for: Development and function of over 45 personnel.Establishment of the RSAF Intelligence Centre (RIC). Financial responsibility for asset management of inventory equipment in excess of £ 88 mill. Significant achievements in a full responsibility / no authority environment.

Reconnaissance Mobile Exploitation Facility (RMEF) Manager of Systems. British Aerospace Ltd SASD 1990-1991

Working for Saudi Arabia Support department (SASD), performed the critical role of bringing together BAe departments and subcontractor companies in addition to internal departmental functions. Achieved:

Project managed end-to-end cutting edge project from recruitment through concept agreement, deployment, training, system testing and team operation. Developed follow-up business through rationalisation of customer requirements with engineering feasibilities. Troubleshot difficulties encountered within operational systems to resolve and rescue a project. Found, proposed and implemented a method to deliver an Initial Operational Capability to customer when system would not be deliverable for another 6 months. Saved multi-hundred-million-pound programme from cancellation. (A programme worth approximately £264m UK Sterling).
