My professional experience includes different areas in business management. I have a unique combination of entrepreneurial, public sector, and large corporate blend of experience.

I have been involved in start up companies, several turn around situations, as well as, the comprehensive development of a municipal service provider to industry. My overall management experience covers diverse areas such as, personnel management and development, safety and training programs, quality control, purchasing and transportation services.

I acquired knowledge of marketing to develop strategies that were used to improve and open new markets in Southern California. As a Regional Manager (1993-2001), I was involved in the development of new strategies for increasing volume growth in the Southwestern United States market. I led a corporate team for a regional reorganization plan, was a key member of an on-going regional supply strategy, and member of the Division’s five year strategic plan. I developed and managed a $64 million budget and the national recycling contract for a major retail store chain and was an active member of our Corporate Safety Team.

I worked with new suppliers and consumers to develop and improve profits while strengthening market position and enhancing customer service.

While working for the City of San Diego (1990-1993), I was involved with market development efforts and the design of the municipal curbside recycling and collection program. There I developed new local markets, established a Recycle Products Procurement Plan for municipal purchasing, and obtained state recognition for establishing a Recycling Market Development Zone in the City of San Diego.

As a successful Regional and General Manager for the Jefferson Smurfit Group, with a wealth of experience, a successful track record, an advanced industry network of colleagues and associates, and a solid local management team in place, in 2001; I embarked on the formation of my own small business. Green Way Enterprises, Inc.
