Division 1 Baseball 2012-2016

I was a member of Bradley University’s Division 1 men’s baseball team for 4 years. 20 hours a week of practice, games, and workouts. Creates a necessity for time management, teamwork skills, and diligence. Braves Council 2014-2016

I was elected to be one of two representatives for Bradley Baseball on the University’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Our committee’s mission is to be a voice for all student-athletes in affairs regarding the NCAA. We work with NCAA administration on topics such as rule changes and financial decisions. I served as the co-chair of the Vs. Cancer Fundraiser, coordinating this spring’s baseball team effort to raise $12,000 for this cause.

Began using AutoCAD in high school architecture program to construct floor plans as well as orthographic and top/front/side views.

Completed college courses in AutoCAD and Creo 2.0 including Finite Element Analysis in both 2- and 3- dimensions and assembly drawings

Used SolidWorks and Abaqus Software packages for graduate level design projects including Bradley University’s SAE Baja project.

Senior Design Project:

As a member of Bradley University’s SAE Baja team, I worked to design and build a competitive, cost efficient off-road vehicle. This work consisted mostly of design and analysis of the frame & suspension of the vehicle. Problem solving, computer design/analysis and hands on fabrication were all large parts of my contribution to the vehicle.

Skills

Proficient in Microsoft’s Office Suite. I work well in both team and individual environments and am able to articulate ideas in both oral and written mediums. I understand the relationship between business and engineering and can work to better improve employer profitability. I also understand how to work with client’s to ensure that client wishes are realized during product finalization.
