Managed and coordinated several concurrent projects within the GIS domain, all of them to fruition.

The most current project I had been working on is rolling out a cloud-based Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solution for all enterprise users logging-in remotely to the Caterpillar network. The project is still ongoing, with the next phase to enable approx. 15,000 users to sign on to MFA. The project was scheduled to complete in 1Q16. This was a 6 Sigma project.

Other current projects were to enable WebInspect and Qualys scanning of application in the Cloud Remote Domain (CRD). These projects were due for completion in January 2016

Projects managed in the past have included selection and installation of solutions for Data Loss Prevention (DLP), selection and installation of solutions End-Point Security, selection and installation of Full Disk Encryption (FDE) (Symantec selected for all), installation of Bit 9 application to monitor white-listing of applications. This was a 6 Sigma project.

Have also facilitated and managed project planning sessions that included review of project charter / scope documents, creation of WBS and project activities.

Primavera was the tool of choice for scheduling projects.

Managed several portfolios with several projects per each portfolio.

Managed a Sharepoint project installing that included upgradation, migration, installation, and testing.

Managed a 6-month Java project that enhanced security for dealers and customers to log into John Deere's web portals.

Managed a 4-months Java Parts Management project, upgrading the application to enhance security and accessibility of parts and related information. The project was scheduled for 6 months, but was brought in in less than 5months and under budget.

Another project was a Non Compliance Corrective Action (NCCA) project that was created to manage quality of manufactured products. This was a several thousand hours project with teams across the USA & Offshore, which was also brought in on time and within budget and received high grades from all stakeholders upon completion.

Other projects were small upgrade type of projects that were mainly initiated at the head office but most of the technical work is done off-shore in India,

The project management required extensive coordination with the off-shore and on-site members, constant liaising with the business partners and other stakeholders. The projects were of small nature, typically 4-6 months durations, but I am managed multiple projects of this nature (8-10 concurrent projects).

Microsoft EPPM was used for portfolio and project management.

Kiewit is a large construction company based in Omaha, NE. As a project coordinator in the PMO, I have been involved in several Industrial ERP projects that would load data into SAP of the many projects undertaken by Kiewit and its subsidiaries and/or wholly owned companies. I was also involved in setting up the PMO, standardizing project templates, reporting structures, standards etc.

The projects were scheduled on Primavera P6. Projects created ranged from short 2 months to over 12 months duration (approx 150 hours to 20k+ hours).

Also, assisted in transferring MS project schedules to Primavera schedules, adding proper resources, proper WBS structures, data dictionary etc.

As a consultant at State Farm Insurance, worked on several varied projects. All of the projects required combinations of utilizing EVM, managing resources (getting them on to the projects and transitioning them off), creating and managing critical paths, proper documentation of all projects was mandatory, etc.

Planned and managed several concurrent projects independently and collaboratively ranging from about $75k to $2.5m, managing from about seven people to more than 20 across multiple functions in a matrix environment. The projects have ranged from about four months to over 18 months.

Ensured that all projects had clear and defined requirements from the client and ensuring that all those requirements (and more) were captured in the KRT (Key Requirements Table).

Ensured that all project changes (timelines, resources, requirements, scope etc) were adequately documented and concurrence from business partners and key stake holders were received.

Worked on a Data Warehousing (DWH) project investigating suspension or cancellation of policies (Fire,auto and life) to create policies and procedures to mitigate. Infomatica and Cognos were the tools of choice for data ETL and reporting.

Worked on evaluating charters, ensuring all projects adhere to enterprise compliance, evaluating project risks and its mitigating factors.

Managed project using EVM, comparing planned costs against actual costs, planned vs. actual durations etc. Ensuring that project costs were tightly controlled and planned deviations were agreed upon by all concerned.

I have been involved in specifying resource requirements, including expertise, types and number of resources, acquiring and releasing resources as and when required, upgrading talent by education and training. Often managed team members that would be based offshore or off site.

Prepared weekly reports, dashboards, presentations etc for stakeholders and project sponsors.

Worked a project to upgrade CISCO firmware using Agile and scrum methodology. Over 1500 items were required to be upgraded and it was decided to use 3-weeks sprints to achieve this. The initial roll-out took 5 weeks as most of the team members were new to agile; however after the first roll-out delay, we were able to keep to the 3 weeks sprints and the project was well on track.

Managed regulatory projects such as ensuring French language communications were offered to clients based in some provinces of Canada; elevated levels of security to be provided to banking clients doing their banking over the internet; banking project interfacing with ACH. The banking project used Java & XML extensively.

Managed infrastructure projects such as upgrading access to all company facilities nation-wide. This project involved working with vendor resources off-site, ensuring they had adequate level of security to complete the project.

Managed a data conversion project, converting database and data elements from one proprietary banking system to another. The work involved mapping common data elements and databases, creating 'missing' elements and then populating the databases.

Proficient in Primavera and MS Projects, as well as using Agile and Scrum methodology, full project management life cycle and SDLC.

Involved in ensuring that the projects are executed within the scope of time, money and quality. Where the projects have been extended due to any one of several reasons, the stakeholders' and business partners' concurrence was obtained.

SCT was at the time extensively involved in Y2K preparedness. The corporation also specialized in being an outsourcing provider to the education and higher learning industry, and to the utilities industry. They had marketed several proprietary software packages to these industries.

Responsibilities as a project manager included managing a $1.5m 12-months Y2K on-site at Long Island Jewish Hospital (LIJ) project in identifying, re mediating and implementing and monitoring Y2K susceptible applications. The project was completed approx. 2 months ahead of schedule.

Also managed a similar local-government project at Ft. Myers in Florida. This project was also completed ahead of time.

Also involved in scoping clients' Y2K readiness and advised on remediation efforts, as well as advising them on backup and recovery procedures.

Prior to 1998

Prior to '98 worked for IBM Global Services in Australia as a project manager on several internal IBM projects, including evaluation of SAP as a tool for IBM's internal usage. The projects were implemented in several IBM locations worldwide, as well as using resources from IBM worldwide, if required.
