Involved in Mechanical/HVAC Design and Drafting using AutoCAD, AutoTable, MS Office, Hap, Trac, Revit and other software as required to reach a working solution and get Mechanical Engineering's work out. Much AutoCAD, some Revit Drafting.

After second year promoted to CAD Coordinator, taking many outside architectural companies graphic job files, formats and outputs, adapting and conforming their files to the standards of Bala and its disciplines (Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Electrical and occasionally Structural) including layering and titleblocks.

Engineering Drafting

Small Shop Atmosphere. High speed work, short deadline work in multiple Drafting disciplines: Mechanical, Architectural, Electrical, and Electronic for Broadcast Transmitter manufacturer.

Generate drawings in AutoCAD, Mechanical Desktop, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat and Schematic Capture Software. Manual drafting as required.

Mechanical Design of specific components. Documenting, “Ballooning” and Bill-of-Materials generation of the specific rack-mounted Broadcast Equipment. Schematic, Block and Wiring Diagrams were also generated on a regular basis.

Draw & design Customer Specific Site Layouts. Multi-sheeted, these Architectural diagrams show placement, water plumbing, air cooling, electrical wiring and rigid coax routing of Television Broadcast Equipment.

Assist other Drafts people and Designers when needed to ship time-specific projects. Also have assembled Manuals and perform Manual Drafting to documents when more time-efficient. Engineering Change Notices (ECN’s) are written, updated and acted upon on regular basis.

Cad Drafting and Design - Kitchens

Design, layout & Space Plan Commercial Kitchens using Autodesk AutoCAD. Sometime starting with drawings from Architect supplied computer files or design building/work areas “on the fly”. Follow equipment specifications, proper kitchen design as well as health and building codes with layout.

Prepare detailed “Rough-In” showing Electrical, Water & Gas Plumbing connections along with drainage & Computer Connections. Following bid specifications and/or customer requirements closely. Work with Salespeople, Suppliers, Architect, Contractors and Owner’s representative. Create clear multi-page documents.

“Ballooning”, Bill-of-Materials generation and Symbol insertion using KCL’s Symbol Component Libraries.

Check, review & revise all custom carpenter or metalwork shop drawings, as required. Revise and ‘cloud’ updated drawings. Follow project from concept through Installation. Self-Starting and Solo in organizing, coordinating and cross referencing information from installers.
