FIELD AUTOMATION
OBJECTIVE:

EXPERIENCE:
As a Instrumentation Engineer with rich experience in the areas of Project Management, Commissioning, Operation & Maintenance of Field Instruments and Distributed Control Systems in petrochemical plant.
Presently associated with DCW Limited, as an Instrument Engineer from Nov’ 2011 till date.
Responsibilities
Handling all the breakdown activities, maintenance activities of all field and panel instruments like level / pressure / temperature transmitters & elements, control valves, transducers, flow meters, switches, automatic / semi automatic bagging machines, load cells, sensors, proximity switches, servo motor controller, Gas detection systems, analyzers, VA machines, boilers etc.
Programming and executing the logic controls in Yokogawa – DCS CS1000, CENTUM VP R4 DCS, Honeywell ML200R PLC, SCADA.
Erection and commissioning of field instruments and panels. Performing the loop checking, logic checking, Site-Acceptance test.
In-depth knowledge of data sheets, P&ID, PFD, logic diagrams, SLD, loop wiring, interlock description, graphic pages, technical specifications, layout drawings, etc.
Performing preventive and breakdown diagnostic maintenance on the process control systems such as Yokogawa CS1000 DCS, Honeywell ML200R PLC and control loops, bus communication as per planning
Raising purchase indents, maintaining Spares through SAP system and selection of instruments and its specifications.
Carrying out calibration of all field instruments, Safety Relief Valves / Excess flow check valves in pressure vessels as per SMPV rules in VCM storage spheres / bullets / mobile trucks, wireless communication system, liasioning and maintaining the standards as per QHSE norms.
Project Activities:
One no. PVC Reactor was automated by charging the chemicals, raw materials in fully automated sequence in order to reduce the reactor cycle time.
a.Commissioned Honeywell make ML200R PLC system for SKID chemical charging system, Stripping Tower & Dryer.
b.Upgraded Yokogawa DCS CS1000 to CENTUM VP R4
c.Commissioned Tank weighing systems
d.Commissioned Stripping Tower of capacity 20T/Hr (M/s. JNC, Japan technology)
e.Commissioned Fluid bed dryer of 7.5TPH. (M/s. ZEA Process technology).
Commissioned Auto Bagging Machine of capacity 10T/H for bagging PVC resin.
Commissioned 30KVA UPS system
Associated with project team for carrying out FAT / SAT / KOM related to Instrumentation activities.
