Project title: Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation (PEO) coatings on commercially pure Titanium. In this project, three different types of coating: non- Hydroxyapatite, Micro Hydroxyapatite, Nano Hydroxyapatite were coated on commercially pure titanium screws by the process of PEO. Mechanical evaluation and testing were performed in the laboratory for each of the coatings. The coated screws were also inserted onto a pig jaw bone to determine which coating shows better performance and is it in accordance with laboratory results.

Final thesis:

Project title: Friction Stir welding on AA6061-T6. In this project, two plates of AA6061-T6 were welded together by Friction Stir Welding technology. The welding parameters were optimized to produce a defect free weld. The properties of the weld were then studied in terms of hardness, tensile and microstructural observations. The sample was then subjected to heat treatment and quenching. The properties of the weld were then compared with the non-heat treated sample. CERTIFICATIONS:

June 2015- Present Metallurgical Engineer at Harihar Alloys (P) Limited (Forging Division) Responsibilities:

Mechanical testing- tensile (UTM), impact, hardness (Brinell, Rockwell) testing and approval.

Material inward inspection- chemical (Spark Spectrometer, PMI), Ultrasonic (UT) testing and approval.

Material Test Certificate (MTC) and Supplier Test Certificate (Mill TC) verification and approval.

Providing technical assistance in Heat treatment of forged components.

Ensuring the mechanical properties of the forgings meet the standards and requirements.

Ensuring all lab equipments are calibrated.

Liasing with clients to determine and interpret the requirements.
