Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer (1 September 2014 – 17th July 2015)

-Reduced the defects ppm by 15 % in commodities handled.

Completed a cost reduction project for ACME process system at Pune, which is a project based manufacturing company.

-Material flow analysis

-Implement continuous process improvements.

-Study and develop machine process and set-up cycle times

-Lead the multifunctional team in value stream mapping, and 6 Sigma cost reduction initiatives.

-Found the bottle neck process and calculated the total loss versus total investment (Money, Human resource).

-Designed a roll bending machine according to the constraints of area of installation available in the factory floor.

-Minimized the production cost of by introducing an in house roll bending machine process to reduce the logistic cost and lead time for vessel.

PROJECTS

Wayne State University (1 September 2015 – 17th December 2015)

Logistic Optimization project Detroit, MI

Designed a linear programming module for reducing final product cost by selecting the optimal supplier for each assembly component and meet monthly demand for each product. The selection constraints were:

-Variability in component cost at each vendor/supplier, discrete discount cost policy offered by supplier on high purchase.

-Transportation cost influenced due to distances of suppliers, distinct trucking capacities.

-Benchmark for quality, delivery and service rating constraint.
