Group HR Director Eurest Services & SSC - Compass Group – USA. (Fall 2015 – Present.)

Assigned two Division Presidents representing 9,850 associates throughout the U.S. that provide Grounds, Plant Operations Maintenance, Architectural Landscape, custodial, electrical, mail services, & materials management for global corporations, schools, and universities such as Google, G.E., General Motors, P&G, Pfizer, Shell, Exxon-Mobil, Bank of America, BP, UPS, Walmart, Texas A&M, Harvard.

Selected accomplishments:

Led a FLSA project team to successfully mitigate a $2.27M cost impact due to pending DOL revisions to FLSA overtime exemption. Collaborated with CFOs and division presidents to initiate a solution by identifying key positions, flattening the job hierarchy, and reclassifying targeted position titles to achieve $1.97M (87%) in cost savings.

Worked with corporate to successfully integrate both divisions to a SAP payroll platform and new HR Shared Services center (HRSC) by developing job mapping, harmonizing 2 handbooks, and launching the HRSC nationwide that is now handling 1000+ employee monthly calls and providing analytics/trends post the integration for both divisions.

HR Director- Sr. HR Consultant Crothall Healthcare - Support Services, Compass Group – USA (2011 – Fall 2015)

Appointed by Sr. VP of HR to support 1 Division President. Crothall Healthcare serves 1,200 hospital clients in 44 states providing environmental services, laundry, clinical engineering, and patient transportation. Led various field human resources business partners (HRBPs) responsible for supporting new business, talent management, succession planning, litigation avoidance, and compliance training in assigned geographies.

Selected accomplishments:

Designed and implemented Talent Management Dash boards, career paths and strategic bench building resulting in 41% internal promotions; simplified talent identification gaps to facilitate quarterly HiPo reviews that resulted in identification and ongoing development of all unit directors and designated successors for every account in assigned division.

Implemented a “Foundations of Leadership” Onboarding program designed to provide consistent training for all new management associates using online classroom sessions, self-paced e-learning modules and other compliance training resulting in an overall 21% increase retention rate.

SW HR Director- HR Consultant Canteen Vending Division, Compass Group – USA (2008 – 2010)

Repatriated to the U.S. and appointed to support 1 Division President. Canteen represents 200 branches in the U.S. that provide vending, and office coffee services in 48 States serving over 5 million customers every day at over 27,000 client sites with $1.3 billion in sales in North America.

Selected Accomplishments:

Developed a “best in class” Manager-in-Training Program (MIT) to provide college graduates with fast-track learning opportunities using core development programs, experiential learning and certifications resulting in over 400 placements.

Guided the division during rapid growth with “best in class” vending acquisitions/brands by developing acquired talent, create bench strength, and creating self-checkout vending markets offering the latest in vending technology.

Latin America Group HR Director Compass Group Mexico Mexico City, Mexico (2006 – 2008)

Selected by the board directors to assist Mexico’s CEO improve underachieving sales, high turnover & lack of cohesive management processes by developing an HR roadmap and a balanced scorecard to re-position the 6,000 employee division as the leader in foodservice management for global corporate clients, colleges, hospitals, professional soccer stadiums, formula 1 racing, and other entertainment venues in Latin America.

Selected Accomplishments:

Reporting to the U.S. Executive Vice President of HR and Mexico’s CEO, re-organized the 6,000 employee- organization by implementing manpower models & a succession planning process resulting in retention of top talent, 26% reduction in labor costs, 30% increase in sales revenue and 12% increase in unit profits in two years.

Implemented Mexico’s Hay Group compensation program, field bonus plans, competency-based career paths, staffing models, position-specific competencies, reporting systems, and Hewitt engagement surveys which has resulted in 39% reduction in labor turnover, 95 % client retention rate, and 6.5 % sustainable growth for past 8 consecutive years.

Eurest provides food services to local, regional and national companies within the Business & Industry markets that include many Fortune 500. Reporting to the VP of HR, led 4 human resources business partners (HRBPs) responsible for performance, compliance, talent management, development, and new account openings in the United States and Puerto Rico.

• Selected to sub-committee to help develop & implement a “one-stop-shop” HR Service Center in Charlotte, N.C. using case management technology and HR analytics to analyze trends and metrics to develop and implement solutions, programs, processes and or policies to address organization needs and effectiveness.

Successfully cultivated strong partnerships with operators, corporate, and sales during a period of rapid growth and uncertainty resulting in $1B+ net growth per year with over 500 unit mobilizations companywide.
