OBJECTIVE

EMPLOYMENT

DCCCA, Inc. – Lawrence, KS. (June 2014 – June 2016)

I was hired as a ‘working’ IT Manager for DCCCA, Inc. I was originally hired to take over their IT department and revamp their unsupported Windows software and aging outdated infrastructure to the most current versions. This consisted of upgrading their Windows 2003 servers (AD, GPO, SharePoint), MS SQL 2005 servers, VMWare 4.0, as well as rolling out a new HR system and company website. I was responsible for all aspects of their IT department including; hardware, software, organization and future planning as well as lead tech to my other IT staff. Main duties consist of Server maintenance, daily Backups, infrastructure to all 13 locations ((3)Lawrence, (2)Wichita, Topeka, Lenexa, Pittsburg, Pratt, Winfield, OKC/Tulsa/Lawton Ok) and all 300 end users.

Layered Tech – Kansas City, MO. (October 2011 – May 2014)

Worked at Layered Technologies as a Tier II Tech Support Systems Administrator supporting both Windows and Linux operating systems at their state of the art collocation facility housing literally thousands of servers and multiple hosts. This work included maintenance, server deployment including VMware servers and physical devices as well as full client backups and restorations. I have a strong working knowledge of SAN controllers and load balancing as well as best efficiency setups for optimal performance and utilization. I worked briefly for myself doing PC repair plus server administration and network installations throughout the Lawrence area. Though the majority of my clients were personal users with various Windows operating systems I also offered maintenance and repair for several local businesses such as Lawrence Country Club, Lawrence Life Fellowship, the UPS Store and Kiwi-Tek, supporting Windows, Linux and even Macintosh computer systems as well as complete network administration.

Netsolus Consulting, Inc. - Kansas City, MO. (January 2009 - February 2010)

Worked at Netsolus Consulting, Inc. as a Senior Engineer/Consultant/Helpdesk Supervisor. Netsolus is a Network Security Consulting firm that offers consulting for network security, data backup and redundancy as well as 24/7 server/network monitoring, maintenance and outage management not to mention off site tape library storage and archiving. I was hired from Lubbock, TX. and was moved down to help build, supervise and support a 24/7 helpdesk and write appropriate documents outlining job duties, responsibilities and procedures in order for Netsolus to become SAS70 compliant and establish a solid collocation facility. I was responsible for network administration duties pertaining to over 50 racks containing around 500 servers with varying operating systems from Windows to Linux as well as maintenance and deployment of VMware servers and ESX clusters of 100’s of VM clients. http://www.netsolus.com/

InterCity Oz - Lubbock, TX. (September 2002 - January 2009)

Worked at InterCity Oz as Systems Admin/IT Tech/Programmer

InterCity Oz was host for the main site for the ministry of tourism in Egypt, TourEgypt.net based out of an industrial facility. InterCity was one of the oldest hosting companies having hosted around 200 websites including; Spring Break Florida and Panama City Beach Florida just to name a few, founded in the early 80’s. My main responsibilities were maintenance of the entire network and intranet including deployment and backup of all company software which included MS Office utilized in a SharePoint/Active Directory environment as well as programs and administration that also encompassed accounting software such as Peachtree, MAS90 and QuickBooks. These duties additionally included their four sister companies of the industrial complex; American Turbine Pump, Irrigation Machine & Supply, ProFab and L&M Machine. Job responsibilities included; maintenance, software installation and tech support for about 50-60 PCs, including 6 Windows Servers and 2 Linux Servers. http://interoz.com

COMPUTER SKILLS

Building, troubleshooting and maintaining servers and personal computers Installing and configuring software, hardware and networking infrastructure. My strongest points are Windows (All flavors) including Active Directory, Group Policy, & IIS. I am also highly skilled in all versions of MS Office including Cloud based 365 (2013 & 2016) as well as Exchange, SharePoint and MS SQL.

I have built and designed several HA VMWare networks and I am also fairly proficient with most flavors of Linux and some general scripting. I have over 17yrs of IT experiencing and I believe I can handle most task that I am appointed to as well as working with outside vendors and external support to get the job done.
