During my professional associations, I developed familiarity with Medical emergencies(MI, DKA, HONK, Hematemesis, Hemoptysis, Shock, Cardiac Arrest, respiratory distress and respiratory failure ), emergency procedures(NG intubations and NG feeding, Pleural Aspiration Diagnostic and Therapeutic implementation etc.), Managing emergencies in the ward and OPD, Counseling and report writing skills. I had the opportunity to work with a number of multifaceted national and international organizations and different medical facilities like, Khyber Teaching Hospital, lady reading hospital, International committee of the Red Cross, International Medical Corps and WAPDA.

Working as “Post-graduate resident FCPS (internal medicine)” at Khyber Teaching Hospital Peshawar and performing the following duties

Dealing in patient with medical problem in outdoor, Emergency and ward

Taking detailed history, examination and assessment of patient and their management according to need.

Consulting on call consultant for better management.

Conducting ward rounds, management of admitted patient including emergency and elective procedures.

Investigation of patients and arranging activates in ward like mortality meeting, journal club case presentation and research.

Was responsible for the referral of any patients under their care to other centres for specialist treatment when appropriate

Worked as “Medical Officer” with International Medical Corps for primary health care of IDPs from South Waziristan and performed the following duties.

Organized the dispensary, outpatient department and allotted duties to the additional staff to ensure smooth running of the OPD.

Managed suitable arrangements for the distribution of work in the treatment of emergency cases which come outside the normal OPD hours.

Organized laboratory services for cases where necessary and within the scope of laboratory for proper diagnosis of doubtful cases and referral as required.
