Field Engineer/Patriot Missile
Responsible for performing a variety of duties related to enhancing maintenance effectiveness and efficiency of the Patriot Missile.
Responsibilities
Mechanically assembling and disassembling of the Patriot Missile to include electronic testing and troubleshooting
Work with a high degree of independence and technically responsible for the quality and accuracy of my work. Keep my peers aware of any modifications, updates and all changes.
Pre-inspect prior to build-up and develop, recommend changes prior to build-up, inspect the missiles after it is fully assembed to meet all requirements of United States Army.
Review applicable computer-controlled tests, review test results in order to troubleshoot procedures as well as repetitive maintenance as required.
Develop and recommend changes to Facility Manager relative disposition of missiles from data received.
Remove units under tests, troubleshooting, repair and/or replace malfunctioned system components to facilitate continuation of test analyzes printout to locate area not meeting missile specifications.
Utilizes schematics engineering production system, subsystems test requirements, prints, written procedures, oral instructions requiring an extensive knowledge of electronics theory and practice, to include solid state devices.
Knowledge of RF and microwave principles automatic phase control systems, hydraulics to test, identify defects, repair/replace, tune and align components, circuits that may need to be replace due to defective units.
Ensure maintenance of lot integrity when replacing parts or components to assure validity of trend analyses determined by the central data bank.
Knowledge of quality assurance methods, principles, and practices to evaluate depots conformance to specified quality requirements to assure procedure/ processes adequately control of the quality of the Patriot missile.
Input of data related to the missile into EDCS and Q& R database.
Knowledge of interpreting program directives, technical documentations, developing/ adapting, implementing, monitoring complex evaluation/audit and procedures when there are no precedents.
Ability to plan, conduct extensive audits/evaluations, analyzing performance data from varies sources to make sound recommendations for corrections action of the product, process and quality system deficiencies.
