Flowserve Corporation, Houston, Texas 2007 - 2016

2015-2016

GM of Global Field Services, Lead and direct Flowserve Field Service business on a global basis, driving the overall operational and strategic plan for this business. This role includes direct P&L responsibility for the new Global Capital Project Service and product growth initiatives for Aftermarket field service.

2011-2014

GM of Operations Leduc Service Center. During the first 6 month, I was able to turn the on time performance from 63% to 95% with reduction to our warranty claims and increase customer satisfaction. My core responsibility during my tenure was to planned and managed daily activities with the sales team to meet the expanding business here in Western Canada, overseeing direct reports to ensure achievements of the customer service goals and standards. Also, I was held accountable for managing the P&L for the Leduc service center. At the end of my assignment, I was responsible for creating a 3 year strategic business plan for the aftermarket division in Western Canada.

2008-2011

GM of Operations Houston Parts Mfg.Center. Manage all functions in the manufacturing area, including meeting production requirements for customer satisfaction, quality, managing the manufacturing budget and expenses, safety, training, profitability of manufacturing operation and positively managing the people within the area to ensure the on-time delivery of products at competitive costs, lead times, quality and cycle time. Received my Flowserve Corporation Green Belt Certification for reducing impeller mfg. cycle times by 40%.

2007-2008

Manufacturing Manager, Houston Parts Mfg Center. Job requirements include scheduling daily work loads, purchasing capital equipment, implementing Lean Principles, techniques, and methodologies according to corporate requirements. I am responsible for effectively communicating to 24 direct and indirect employees.

Union Pump, Battle Creek, Michigan 2005-2007

Hired as Manufacturing Manager for the machine, parts, assembly, test and weld departments. Job requirements included scheduling daily work loads, purchasing capital equipment, implementing lean principles, techniques, and methodologies according to corporate requirements. I had 50 direct employees that reported to me at any given time. Received my Textron Corporation Green belt Certification for reducing assembly times, 5S role out, and implementing a visual management program.

Parker Hannifin, Kalamazoo, Michigan 2002-2005

Initially hired as a Test Engineer. Job requirements were quality testing and recording data for hydraulic control system performance on both military and commercial aircrafts.

After nine months, I was promoted to Manufacturing Engineer and Supervisor of multiple manufacturing and assembly cells. As a Manufacturing Engineer, I developed innovative solutions to manufacturing problems through identification and implementation of advance manufacturing processes, via process analysis, conferring with suppliers, and applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and material.

As a supervisor, I was responsible for implementing the lean principles, techniques, and methodologies according to corporate requirements. Technologies and methodologies include value stream mapping, cellular manufacturing, Kanban pull system, quick changeover, Six Sigma Quality, and design for a lean one-piece flow.

US Filter Holland, Michigan 2000-2002

Hired as a Project Engineer. Job duties included designing and managing the manufacture of dewatering equipment, structural components, support systems, and follow-on support to ensure the equipment performed to customer’s expectations. Responsibilities also included reviewing order specifications and supporting the sales department in job quotations.

Howmet Corporation, Whitehall Michigan 1998-2000

Initially hired in layout department (Summer 1998 and 1999) for CO-OP program. Designed jigs, machine fixtures, and ran layout reports on dies, castings and assisted in developing new methods of production.

Upon graduation, I became a salaried engineer, and was directly involved in tool and die designing castings, prototyping, and programming CNC’s. I was entrusted to investigate and purchase capital equipment required in the manufacturing plant. During my tenure, I received extensive training in ISO standards, Six Sigma, and JIT.
