QA Analyst

Jewelers Mutual was founded by jewelers in 1913 and remains the leading insurer solely dedicated to insuring jewelry and the jewelry industry. Jewelers Mutual offers coverage for jewelry businesses in retail, repair, custom design, and jewelry appraising, wholesale, and manufacturing. Provides coverage for individuals' personal jewelry for residents throughout the U.S. and Canada. The project I worked on is “System Replacement Project” at the start of 2011 Jewelers decided to move on from there Legacy Systems like “PAS, PCA, EAS and AS400” and cumulate all into one centralized system called Guidewire. I was involved in Policy Center implementation in this project where I worked with a mixed blend of contractors and internal employees.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Attended weekly sprint planning meetings along with daily scrum meetings

Sat with the business team to discuss business requirements for user stories

Wrote detailed test cases for Policy Center Implementation for Commercial Lines of business

Responsible for developing and executing formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications

Created projects and sprints in Quality Center 11.0 as per the requirement from business users

Identified and logged defects found during manual application testing and test script execution

Worked with converted data and ensure all the converted renewals make it to the integrated environments of GuideWire

Nissan Infiniti RMS (Retail Marketing services) portal allows dealers enroll in to different sales promotions promoted by Nissan Corporation and Aspen marketing services, Inc. This is “on-stop shop” designed to help automotive dealers enroll in different sales programs and take advantage fully. Customers will get information about current sales promotions in different channels direct mail, E-mail, phone, SMS and other. Dealers will be seeing the effectiveness of sales promotions by checking sales match reports. PHQ (Program Headquarter) sales team uses this portal, can track the status of current promotions, and can enroll behalf of dealers. Admin users will be able to set up new promotions and configures the site settings.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Performed functional, regression, end-to-end, and UAT testing

Wrote, updated, and executed test cases manually using Quality Center

Worked closely with developers to find out the gaps in functional requirements

Ran smoke test when changes made to code/ database or new functionality being added

Testing the hot fixes as part of production issues
