Work Experiences: June 2015 – March 2016

• Software Developer Intern at Cubic R&D. My job is to Explore the ideas of using BLE technology in public transportation fare collection systems. I have designed and implemented a Windows application for a BLE dongle, so that the dongle can scan, connect, and exchange data with a customized BLE device. Currently, I have been working on the customized protocol between the BLE dongle and the customized BLE device by using money transaction standard enciphering algorithms(siphash, AES) to prevent the communication channel from third party attack. My manager and I have successfully showed some prototype demos to Cubic's important clients.

Team/School Projects

• Business Shopping Website.

Developed business shopping website using JSP, SQL, and JS with AJAX that connected with PostgreSQL. Site supports both user and owner functionality (sales/user analysis) and store user info into local database.

• IO Socket, a Facebook Open Academy Open Source Project. It is a real time web application that allows users to transfers data between frontend and backend. My team worked on the IO-Socket-inspector that allows users to inspect their data traffic. I used HTML, CSS and JavaScript to create a browser extension to display the traffic data in an organized way.

• Place-It (Android App), Frontend and UX Engineer Place-It is a location-based app. It allows users to set-up multiple alarms to remind them when they are getting close to the places where they have jobs to do. My job mainly was to design and implement the UI and communicate with our TAs and professor. My team’s app was in first-place out of the ten teams.

• School Website.

Developed School website using C#, MySQL, and JavaScript with AJAX that connected with SQL Server. Site supports student, professor and staff functionality, meaning that students can register classes; professors can assign grade to their students; Advisors can access students' academic records etc. Project code link:
