Plan the voyage and work closely with London branch office and its Commercial and Operations team, with goals to achieve the most cost-effective actions and solutions for the duration of the voyage

Prepare and issue Voyage Instructions and appoint agents, and Surveyors (as required)

Calculate and order bunkers requirements to be supplied to the vessel

Monitor daily vessel’s position, speed and consumption

Understand the voyage’s hold requirements and communicate to the Captain onboard

Convey to the Captain onboard port call(s) berth and work prospects, productivity and other local port info and regulations

Distribute Prestow(s) and final stow plan(s); segregate and prepare hatch list(s)and tier plan(s) if required

Check and ensure proformas are calculated against port tariffs, apply for local rebates (eg. wharfage, transit, towage etc.) where there is opportunity to save on costs

Enroll vessel to weather-routing service for the voyage

Keep the vessel’s schedule updated in Dataloy throughout the voyage, ensure deviation and off-hire(s) are accurate and processed promptly

Ensure voyage cargo documents are complete, and cargo declarations (ENS, Siscarga etc.) are applied thru proper channel in a timely manner

Prepare and execute Letter Of Indemnity (as required)

Generate Equipment Checklist in Leo (as required), same to be communicated to the Captain onboard, agents, stevedores and local Operations Group

Ensure all relevant voyage documents (SOF, NOR, BsL, Waybills, manifest, productivity reports, LOIs, BDN, loading/discharging photos etc.) are always stored in designated Workspace

In case of Stevedore Damages and/or Damage Claims and/or ship damages, ensure proper actions are taken and assist Claims Dept. with their required info and supporting documents

Participate with monthly discrepancy meetings
