WORK EXPERIENCE

GGB Bearings Technology, Thorofare NJ 1995 – 2016

During my tenure at GGB I held a number of positions in Supply Chain, Operations, IT and Quality while supporting all areas of the business. This experience gave me an end-to-end view and knowledge of the business providing insight for process improvements.

Manager of Business Process Integration

In this position, as a member of the global supply chain team, I bridged the gap between technical solutions and optimal business processes on a global basis.

Major accomplishments:

• I facilitated continuous improvement workshops on a global basis for all functional areas of the business.

• Managing a group of global business process owners I coordinated cross-functional process improvements.

• Developed standard templates for documenting detailed business process flows and business rules.

• Provided SAP data analysis for production planning and scheduling to monitor schedule attainment.

• Member of the core team during the initial design of a global S&OP process.

• Developed automated tools for MTS/MTO determination to support global S&OP process.

Production Supervisor

Supervised production of fiber reinforced composite bearings in a dynamic manufacturing environment. While in this position I conducted various Lean improvement events to improve setup time, material movement and production schedule sequencing. I provided front line and analytic support to the production planning function while improving production master data to optimize MRP.

IT Manager

As the IT Manager I led a small local team to provide both infrastructure and business application support while supporting a larger global team with creative solutions to cross functional team.

Major Accomplishments:

• During the scoping phase of the GGB SAP ERP project I represented the US operations, providing insight to local business process and practices. I supported the US rollout by actively participating with the production planning scoping workshops and BPCS data migration for all functional areas. Skills used: Business Process Kaizen, TSQL, VBS, AS400 queries.

• To reduce lost paperwork and errors in the shipping department I developed an electronic order picking system. This web based system utilized both live and offline ERP data to allow shippers to print picking papers on demand. Extending the picking system with inventory location data increased efficiency of part retrieval. Bar-coding reduced input errors during shipping. Skills used: Root Cause Analysis, Active Server Pages, TSQL, Java Scripting.

• As part of my Business Process Kaizen Leadership certification I led a team to scope and implement a fully automated MRP system. A Manufacturing Production Scheduling (MPS) application I developed was used to extend visibility to our full implementation of MRP in BPCS (ERP) system. The MPS provided a dashboard to production planning and execution. This dashboard graphically presented MRP planning data, improved management of production cell capacities and facilitated tracking of production order status and component consumption. Skills used: Business Process Kaizen, Active Server pages, TSQL, Java Scripting.

Working with all functional areas of the business I was able to increase efficiencies and reduce errors with the development and deployment of:

• Available to Promise and Capacity Planner (Customer Service and Production Planning)

Document Control Coordinator

During our initial QS9000 certification I developed a document control system to track and control over 3000 quality documents. I also provided internal audit services after receiving ASQ internal audit certification.

Quality Control Technician

In this position I provided dimensional and physical quality control testing supporting over 20 production lines. I also completed material certification to satisfy customer requirements.

Wheaton Plastic Product, Plastics Laboratory, Millville NJ

Senior Technician, 1985 – 1995

As a senior technician in the plastics research laboratory I provided a high level of support to the research and development and production facilities.

Major accomplishments:

• I implemented a quality control program for an automotive parts production facility. Recommended the purchase of all testing equipment and provided training in its use to the local quality technicians.

• Formulated an environmentally friendly water based adhesive for the bonding of PVC to glass. This adhesive allowed production to reduce their reject rate from 15% to less than 1%.

• Developed a process technique for powder coating glass containers for decorative and safety applications. This provided the company with alternative processes which increased regulatory environmental compliance.

• I acted as network administrator for 125 user Novell network serving the Plastics Tech Center complex.

ABC Research Inc., Gainesville, FL; Bridgeton NJ Laboratory

Chemical Technician, 1982-1985

Responsibilities: I performed wet chemical testing on water and food samples while maintaining laboratory certification through the analysis of USDA, EPA and DEP check samples.
