Buildings Operations Supervisor 02/2004 - current
Elyria Schools, Elyria, Ohio
oResponsible for all hiring, training, and supervision of over 60 permanent and substitute custodial personnel to maintain as much as 1.2 million sq. ft. of building floor space in 17 locations with occasional additional supervision of 17 maintenance personnel in 6 more locations.
oFrequently use Applitrack to identify and screen potential permanent and substitute employees.
oMeet regularly with building Principals to discuss and evaluate building maintenance and safety needs and direct annual performance reviews of all cleaning personnel with Principals.
oOversee all supply, material, and equipment ordering, maintenance, and repair.

Special Projects at Elyria Schools
oAttended weekly construction meetings, made recommendations, and implemented a green cleaning program which included chemical free cleaning equipment to help reach a Silver LEED certification during construction of the $78 million, 317,000 sq. ft. new Elyria High School.
oAttended bi-weekly construction meetings and worked with contractors to complete a house bill 264 energy efficiency project including lighting and HVACR upgrades for all 17 district buildings.
oWorked in cooperation with the IT Director and the classified union to develop and implement a district wide overtime rotation recording program and is responsible for constant updates.
oChosen to represent the district on steering committees, including ODOT’s Rte. 57 Corridor Project, Elyria’s Storm Water Utility program, and Lorain County Metro Parks’ Master Plan.
oActed as liaison between the district and a church that was leasing from the district a closed building (Roosevelt Elementary School).
oWorked with chemical supply vendor to implement and maintain an ongoing computerized supply ordering and acquisition program, as well as the implementation of individual building green cleaning conversions.

oDevelop, implement, and supervise an overtime rotation system for maintenance personnel as well as a comprehensive PM program to enhance the reliability of district HVACR equipment.
