EDUCATION

Worcester Polytechnic Institute, (WPI), Worcester, MA, May 2016 Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, GPA 3.07 EXPERIENCE

Mechanical Engineering R&D Intern – Electronics for Imaging, Meredith, NH May ’15 - August ‘15 Working with an experimental lab team, I measured temperatures across heated platens and media surfaces using advanced thermal instruments. I then created mathematical models capable of accurately predicting system heat transfer, and established excel data files for future engineering use. Mechanical Engineering Associate, AAVID Thermalloy, Meredith, NH May ’14 - August ‘14 Participated in individual in-house projects such as designing new product testing units. I also assisted senior engineers with client specific designs and conducted lab testing for new and updated products. Mechanical Engineering Intern – Electronics for Imaging, Meredith, NH May ’13 - August ‘13 Assisted a Senior Mechanical Engineer Manager at efi in designing, building, and manufacturing industrial sized printers.

PROJECTS

Major Qualifying Project, Worcester, MA, WPI Sept. 2015-May 2016 I worked in a four-person team and constructed a thermal wind tunnel that is capable of physically demonstrating the convective heat transfer coefficient in a classroom. I created the SolidWorks model, demonstrating how the demo unit will operate by implementing the heating element and fan components. Recording temperature and velocity using innovative instrumentation will allow for real-time calculation of the convective heat transfer coefficients using our LabVIEW program. Interactive Qualifying Project, Worcester, MA, WPI Jan. 2015-May 2015 Worked in a five-person team to find insulation and ventilations solutions for the local Habitat for Humanity Worcester ReStore. I worked on air movement calculations, ventilation design, and purchasing specifications.

Great Problems Seminar, Worcester, MA, WPI

Feed The World: Researched and designed a plan to provide nutritional aid to areas in Chad. My teammates and I developed a presentation and presented our idea to a pool of judges. Engineering Printer Design, Worcester, MA, WPI

Designed original parts using solidworks and created working assemblies that I drafted, made detailed drawings of, and then worked with manufacturing firms including Electronics for Imaging’s own machine shop to have the parts and assemblies made and/or ordered to complete a working prototype. Q-Max Tester Design, Worcester, MA, WPI

I was the lead design engineer on a project to rework a lab machine that increased efficiency of heat pipe testing and product output.
