Overall management of the Credit, Collections and Accounts Receivable functions of the company.

Responsible for the management and analysis of the entire Accounts Receivable portfolio. Direct management responsibility for A/R staff of 5 and all billing throughout the company. In addition, ensure accurate posting of revenue, timely billing, collections, the integrity of data and proper use of automated systems, resolution of unreconciled payments, and reconciliation of all A/R GL accounts.

I was involved in one of the largest Bankruptcies in the State of Colorado in which a profit was obtained.

Reduced DSO from 67 days to 42 days.

Initiated new account set up accepted EDI invoicing.

Generate age analysis and review AR aging to ensure compliance. Maintain accounts receivable customer files and records.

Point person for quarterly and annual audits as regards billing, cash, revenue and collections.

I created and implemented a comprehensive credit and collection policy and related procedures for the receivables department.

Mailed invoices and statements (customers who were not set up via EDI) and followed up with customer plus created debit/Credit Memo when needed.

Investigate and resolve billing and account discrepancies.

Personally handle credit/collection situations beyond subordinates authority, major accounts requiring individual attention, marginal accounts, problem accounts, special credit arrangements, and deviations from standards.

Investigate, review, and determine reasonable and sound credit limits up to a designated amount on potential and existing accounts with trade references, bank, and Experian and D&B reports.

Administrates and makes collection calls and visits in a timely manner to ensure on time collection.

Maintains an effective communication line with customers.

Provides feedback for Company to minimize risk on the A/R and meet DSO objectives.

Review A/R on a monthly basis and determine accounts which require third party and/or legal action. Interact with any third party collection agencies.

Seeks ways to provide affordable and timely financing to customers while minimizing risks.

Oversee the processes of customer refunds, EFT payment posting, check posting, and monthly statements.

Reviews and releases customer orders on a timely basis.

Maintain bond/lien rights where applicable.

Review and execute lien waivers.

Attend bi-weekly Sales Meetings to discuss new account set up, disputes and collection issues.
