Firmware Intern, Unimar Inc. Syracuse, NY (Dec 2015 – May 2016)

Designing an Arduino based control unit to implement, maintain and troubleshoot LED Obstruction lights.

Unit is programmed using RS-485 to achieve master-slave configuration, master can control six slaves.

Successful attempt in receiving SNMP trap messages for communication that dictate the status of any remote unit.

ACADEMIC PROJECTS

Embedded System Design (December 2015)

Designed a line following robot using light sensing diodes and implemented the algorithm in C.

Designed Simulink models based on the task that helped to simulate robot’s movement for best results.

The robot successfully completed the task set by the invigilators and also avoided all the obstacles Face Recognition for Security Systems using Raspberry-Pi (November 2015)

Main objective of the project was face recognition and security clearance of a user in real time.

Achieved 96.7% success in face recognition by implementing Haar-cascade classification algorithm.

In addition, interfaced a bi-color LED with Raspberry-Pi kit to indicate access to the user based on the decision. Designed an 8 Bit Microprocessor on 0.6um Technology (December 2014)

Capable of handling Arithmetic and Logic operations depending on the opcode obtained from the Instruction Memory.

Designed an 8 Bit Finite State Machine Controller, 4x8 Register Bank, Arithmetic Logic Unit, Instruction Register and Program Counter using Cadence tools.

Exercised verification utility for LVS, DRC for each of the individual components. Secure Energy-Aware Multipath Routing for Wireless Network (Ubuntu) (May 2014)

Led a team of three to implement AOMDV protocol and nEENDMRP protocol with prime focus on increasing the packet routing efficiency in a wireless network.

As the team lead, collaborated and handled major part of coding and simulation.

Results of the new protocol show a 33.4% increase in energy saving and 45.7% increase in efficiency of information packets reaching its destination.
