Perform a full range of physical security enforcement operations in the prevention and resolving of offenses. Develop work schedules and monitor time and attendance. Monitor, adjudicate and compile background investigations for all applicants and prepare comprehensive reposts for the granting or denial of a Top Secret security clearance, research case law and regulations to identify precedents for current personnel security issues and compiles information as necessary, Pursue and apprehend persons fleeing a crime scene. Subdue individuals causing disturbances. Identify and arrest violators. Seek, detect, and protect evidence and witnesses at scene of accident. Make arrests and perform booking procedures. Ensure FPS guidelines are adhered to during emergency situations. Maintain employee logs, visitor logs, and vehicle and pedestrian statistics. Investigate security violations cases involving mishandling and safeguarding of classified material and recommend security violation charges. Provide assistance in investigations involving stolen government property. Operate the security systems such as: X-ray and metal detection equipment, fire detection, fire safety systems, integrated card access system and CCTV surveillance systems. Provide crowd control, demonstrations, natural disasters and other disruptive incidents. Provide guidance to personnel regarding emergency procedures at each post and facilities.
