Appointed to head the Municipality Business Unit, in charge of one of Ness’s most significant long term, high revenue and high profit customer (The Tel Aviv municipality), identified as an extremely vulnerable contract after many disputes between Ness and the main customer.

The business unit is one of the main lines of business with a total yearly revenue of ~2M$.

From my appointment to this position the contract was transferred from a big lose contract to one of the most profitable one.

Exceeded each year the business unit budget (revenues and GP).

Responsible for presale, delivery quality, P&L and client relationship.

Total yearly revenue of ~2M$.

Project Description: The Tel-Aviv municipality is the biggest and most profitable city in Israel.

The total collection revenue of the city is ~$1 Billion.

Over the years the municipality used many individual billing, collection and dunning systems for each service.

The system goal is to transfer each year a new service to the SAP platform while maintaining and improving the ones that were transferred.

Contribution: Managed 17-30 direct FTEs, 45 customer’s employees supporting 750 end users.

Managing the billing and collection SAP (ver 6.5) project for the municipality of Tel Aviv based on SAP industry solution for utilities (IS-U), FI-CA module and EMC Documentum system.

Successfully rebuilt the trust of the customer after years of mistrust and disputes leading to the customer extending the contract for additional 7 years with 14 FTE, booking ~12M$ in revenue.

Managing upgrade project such as ECC 6.0 to Enhancement pack 5 (ECC 6.5), SAP XI to SAP PI and SAP BW to SAP BI.

Implementing the SAP Solution Manager - scenario or business process.

The customer's project goal is to add each year a new municipal service to the system.

My value to the customer:

oThe customer has no technical pre knowledge of SAP. My responsibility is to help design and approve the technical solution for the business needs.

oManaging all the SAP project staff include Interviewing, hiring and replacing.

oCoordinating between the SAP teams (team leaders, consultants, developers, etc.)

oThere are 3-4 custom development version a year. For each version I'm partnering the planning and committing to the project Gantt.

oOver the 6 years I'm in this position all the custom version went live according to the plan.

oRepresent the project in high committee board (Chaired by the GM, OM, CFO)

Appointed to start a new line of business at Ness' near-shore facility in the city Be’er-Sheva (a remote site of Ness).

In charge of setting up the unit, developing policies and methodologies and establishing presale support to acquire new clients with P&L responsibility.

Managing team leaders and programmers that deliver programming code to more than 20 customers that I managed to sign.

Hired, motivated and coached the team. A majority of the team had no previous experience.

After setting up the site to work independently successfully, was asked to take on a director role and lead one of the most significant business units within the company.

One of the largest importer and dealer of cars and trucks in Israel.

Hired as direct consultant to the company CIO to help stabilize the system after go live.

Performed risk management to assist the CIO in the resource allocation decision making.

My value to the customer:

oDuring my previous position at Mayer I earned full trust (technical and business) of the CIO.

oBeing new to SAP and hiring sub-contractors, the CIO wanted my consultancy as someone he trusted.

oEach day I logged into the system and made checks regarding the usage of the system and its maintenance, each day I sent the CIO a report with issues that I believed needs his attention. The CIO compared my report with other reports he got from his internal stuff / sub-contractors.

Mayer car and trucks is one of the biggest vehicle importer and dealer in Israel.

Project Description: replacing the main Legacy system to SAP (ver ECC-6.0) Automotive industry solution (IS-A) and SAP modules SD, MM, WM, PP, FI, CO, PA WTY, HR and TM.

Contribution: Appointed to lead IBM’s largest SAP implementation project at that time.

Hiring and forming the team (from internal and external resources) and managing 40 direct FTEs supporting 500 end users.

Responsible for the entire project life cycle from inception to live deployment, constrained by fixed-price cost. The project included SAP industry solution for automotive and all enterprise functions including finance, purchasing, sales and logistics.

Responsible for the project’s P&L and goals.

By developing a relationship of trust, was able to sign the customer for additional work as well as accepting deviations that helped the project go live, meeting its milestones and timelines and exceeding financial GP forecast.

Managed the project from start to go live following ASAP methodology.

The project included SAP industry solution for automotive and all the enterprise functions including finance, purchasing, sales, logistics and transportation.

Collaborating the IBM India's off-shore team and the local teams.

My value to the customer:

oBeing a fixed price project the customer was afraid that the solution wouldn't be sufficient – As the project manager I was in line with the customer needs and made sure that the system will fully meet his business goals and needs.

oBoth the customer and my employer (IBM) were concern by the risk of go-live delay – by managing the risks and having a tight time managements over the project resources the project went live on time and on budget.

oIn order to lower the customer stress, three times over the realization step I arranged a meeting with all the customer's executive to show a main business process on the system from start to end.

oManaging and coordinating 40 direct SAP FTEs, off-shore programmers, testers and trainers to finish the job on time.
