Worked with Sprint Enterprise Account Teams on Integrated Digital Enhanced Network (iDEN) to Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) migrations in the Mountain West and Kansas City.

Participated in Sprint’s Network Modernization Program (Network Vision).

Partnered with Custom Network Solutions and Small Cell teams to augment coverage/capacity in large venues like factories, campuses, arenas, stadiums, etc.

Collaborated with Engineering and Finance on CDMA, Wifi and Long-Term Evolution (LTE) augmentations ranging in size from eFemto to Pico and Macro Cells, including going on site walks, reviewing build plans, and participating in budgetary analyses. Key projects included Anheuser-Busch, Shell Petroleum, Denver International Airport, and the Las Vegas Strip.

Identified use cases and product gaps between legacy 2 and 3G networks and LTE/LTE advanced network platforms. Served as the client voice to Sales and Marketing regarding network engineering issues so that product gaps could be addressed and educated clients on features of new platforms.

As Senior Principal Technologist, wrote several white papers and gave multiple presentations on emerging technology, as well as opened a centralized solutions engineering office and helped create the Sprint Nextel Certified Solutions Engineer program.

Provided subject matter expertise and supported sales and customer services on behalf of Enterprise Solutions Engineering teams, totaling as many as 200 engineers and 500 consultants throughout the United States and some of Canada/Mexico. Role focused on roadmap, competitive technologies, latest fixed and mobile wireless practices, and the future of fixed and mobile broadband from the RF layer through the RAN/CORE layers.

Spoke at events, ranging from client, C-level, and board meetings to industry conferences, regarding the future of wireless, mobile broadband, wireless security and architecture. Audiences ranged from a few dozen to a few thousand people.

Authored internal white papers and engineering development work requests; gathered requirements for products needed by the field but not yet developed.
