Employment History:

Sept. 2009 – June 2016:

Lightning Blade Sports, General Manager

General management of the day to day operations of 5 retail stores located throughout the Ottawa area. Responsible for 10-20 employees including all aspects of human resources, accounting, inventory, merchandising, purchasing, advertising and social media. Responsible for all sales including wholesale to associations, schools, corporate and team accounts through RFP or cold calling.

June 2006 – Aug. 2009:

Camfil Farr Ltd., Account Manager.

Outside sales throughout Ottawa, Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec. Position required a technical knowledge of commercial air filtration solutions. Daily activities include cold calling, customer support, joint calls, lunch and learns and prospecting. Calling on distributors, contractors, property management, hospitals, industrial, museums and government. Daily use of CRM software.

Mar. 2004 – May 2006:

Lightning Brands, General Sales Manager-Owner

Sales, service and merchandising of beverage products to various retail and non-retail accounts throughout Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec. Business sold.

Jan. 2005 – Apr. 2006:

Instore Focus, Regional Sales Manager. This position involved the recruiting, training and management of a team of in store sales people and merchandisers in large format and traditional retail stores in the Hardware industry throughout Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec.

Nov. 1999 – Sept. 2004:

Manufacturers Agent, Territory Sales Manager. Self employed. Representing several major manufacturers in the retail hardware, LBM and industrial sector. Sales, merchandising and new store set up provided throughout Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec covering hardware, seasonal, woodworking, plumbing, electrical and general merchandise. Daily interaction with owners, management and purchasing agents as well as trade shows participation. This position was 100% commission based.

July 1998 – Nov. 1999:

Wurth Canada Ltd., Territory Sales Manager. Servicing Eastern Ontario in direct daily sales of fasteners, specialty parts, abrasives and chemicals to the automotive and industrial sectors. Responsibilities include customer maintenance, new accounts, cold calling use of CRM software accounts receivable, inventory control, product & cost analysis.

June 1990 - July 1998:

Capital & Dominion Radiator, Retail/Wholesale Manager.

Responsible for day to day operations of high volume auto parts wholesaler and service centre. Duties included management of (15) employees, purchasing, inventory management and customer service. Responsible for line and quality control for daily production of heat transfer products. Outside sales included servicing over (400) automotive customers in the Ottawa region. Use of computer applications in Windows, Microsoft and specific automotive programs.

Interests:
