Provide administrative support to the Project Manager including schedule updates, progress reports and preparation of tender and contract documents.

On-site organization of contractors and consultants.

a)MINE WATER TREATMENT PLANT & TAILINGS STORAGE FACILITY (DAM) EXPANSION PROJECTS (OVER $120 million) – MARCH 2013 – APRIL 2015

RESPONSIBILITIES – SENIOR PROJECT CONTROLS ENGINEER ( OWNERS TEAM)

Initiate the project, plan stage-gate process schedules and milestones

Provide cost control, scheduling, progress measurement, change control and forecasting (EAC, ETC etc).

Develop Project WBSs using SAP and Prism and other scheduling tools such as Primavera and MS Project

Interface with functional groups such as commercial management, accounting, exploration, operations support and operations as well as outside engineering and construction firms.

Provide work direction as required in the preparation of planning and scheduling control systems and practices to provide Engineering, Procurement and Construction supervisors the means to evaluate the progress and execution of assigned projects.

Assist in FEED (Front-end engineering design) documents for Newmont’s STAGE GATE procedures as required by the investment council, value assurance group and others.

Organize work into activities, estimate resource requirements, cost resources and schedule for results.

Assist with cost estimates from conceptual estimates (factored from historically similar projects) to detailed estimates prepared from drawings.

Assist in development and maintenance of spreadsheets or databases for estimates, forecasts, commitments, actual cost, change management and progress reporting.

Provide project accounting with accruals.

Develop and maintain schedules using MS Project software.

Assist in the preparation for STAGE GATE reviews and AFE submissions including the compilation of functional deliverables required for the study report and project execution plans.

Log and file contract daily reports for man-hours reporting.

Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports.

Develop and maintain contract and invoice logs for historical reconciliation.

Initiate contract request for contractors and administer them accordingly.

b)OPERATION SERVICES DEPT – MAY 2011 - MARCH 2013

RESPONSIBILITIES – PROJECT CONTROLS ENGINEER (OWNERS TEAM)

Preparing of Authorization For Expenditure (AFEs) for CAPEX projects

Controls operational budget (OPEX) for the department

Planning of OPEX budget and headcount for life of mine (LOM) for the department

Planning of department CAPEX projects for both short and long term according to mine plan

Prepares and interpret cost reports (i.e. AFE, Business Performance, variance explanation, Accrual reports etc) for both OPEX and CAPEX to local, regional and corporate management.

Attend monthly management meetings to report OPEX and CAPEX activities (both cost and headcount) to senior management

Interface and collaborate with other departments such as project accounting, capital effectiveness, finance, mining, processing, ESR etc.

Effective and efficient contractor management skills

Also perform same responsibilities as below for CAPEX projects but now combine both cost and schedule.

c)AMOMA MINE PIT AND INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECT ($80 million) – FEBRUARY 2010 - MAY 2011

RESPONSIBILITIES – PROJECT COST CONTROL ENGINEER (OWNERS TEAM)

Select the most efficient methods and procedures for recording contracts and purchase order commitments, accruals and forecast in the Prism Project Management System (PPMS).

Carry out standard procedures based on project execution plan, capital effectiveness guidebook and related procedures.

Interpret contracts, purchase orders and ellipse reports.

Extract and obtain data from a variety of sources including other departments and contractors.

Complete very exact results using standard formulas and software.

Determine results not susceptible to precise, quantitative measures but instead requiring subjective determination.

Recognize and report errors, inconsistencies and other deficiencies in data.

Select the method for internal use to include such forms as tables and charts.
