ENGINEERING:

Project 1: REVAMP OF INSTRUMENTATION IN AMMONIA COMPRESSOR III AT PIC PLANT B, Petrochemical Industries Company (K.S.C),Kuwait.

Preparation of Instrument indices, datasheets, I/O lists etc through analysis of process engineering narratives, P&ID diagrams & other technical documents for detail engineering to

meet the customer specific requirements in a project.

Cable scheduling & drawing Cable block diagrams using AutoCAD tool for technical designing. Project 2 : REPLACEMENT OF SEPERATOR LEVEL CONTROL VALVE AT SOUTH EAST KUWAIT GC's, Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), Kuwait.

Preparation of Power & Loading Calculations for individual GC's with multiple DeltaV Controllers to compare the loadings in existing & updated DCS cabinets with newly added I/O's.

Creation of Bill of Materials to procure additional cabinets/controllers/cards etc to satisfy customer needs. Project 3: UPGRADE CONTROL SYSTEM UTHMANIYAH GOSP-4,13 AND HAWIYAH GOSP-2, 4, Saudi Arabian Oil Company (ARAMCO), Saudi Arabia.

To execute migration of existing Provox Control system to the latest DeltaV Control system along with its auxiliary systems (ESD, VMS, CMS, CCS, FACP, OCM etc.)

Review of engineering documents from the detail design Contractor-Arabian Consulting Engineering Center (ACEC, Saudi Arabia)

Study of offer documents from several OEM vendors (like GE-Bently Nevada, CCC-ISE, Woodward, Emerson etc.) to ensure the final product meets the requirements of ARAMCO Standards of Engineering Procedures, Material Specifications etc and verification of their Table of Compliance (TOC)

Working on IO Assignments for all the systems to define hardware for IO’s identified from the IO List

Detail Engineering contractor (FEED) to replace the existing out dated control systems at EPF-50 with Emerson’s DeltaV DCS by providing engineering solutions.

Engaging with the Client owner to finalize the IO count for the Plant areas along with their configurations to respective systems thereby updating the P&ID’s with necessary Revisions.

Involved in the task of clearly establishing the specifications required for Junction box Wiring Diagrams & Cable block diagrams for various areas to deliver a complete Cable schedule for procurement purposes. This also included AutoCAD drawings for Signal Wiring diagram for all sub systems to define connections from Field to Marshalling room.

Reverse engineer the current PLC based control systems by developing the Boolean Logic Diagrams from the current databases to implement the same in DCS level and to engineer control narratives for additional control systems in New Integrity area. This also included developing logics along with their graphics in DeltaV Platform for DCS & SIS systems as per Cause & Effect Matrices. The control sheets were to be linked to the graphics for control from Operator workstation through faceplates and other user interface elements.

Post FAT documentation and clearing the FAT Punch list for final approval of the clients such as graphic modifications for SCADA.

Project 5 : NEW TANKS ALONG WITH ASSOCIATED FACILITIES AT GC-17 & ABDULIAH PUMPING STATION, Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), Kuwait.

Study of Single Line Diagrams, Electrical Lighting Layout Diagrams (Normal & Emergency), Cable routing and other Electrical documents to recognize the scope as mentioned in the Tender document by the Client

Creating IO Lists for DCS & ESD systems based on the FEED data from the Engineering contractor.

Preparing RFQ & BOQ for the list if instruments, Cables, MOVs, Lighting Panels, Junction Boxes based on the Client approved Supplier List.

AUTOMATION:

Site support services for Emerson’s DeltaV DCS to Coromandel International Limited.

Report generation in all the Operator Workstations at remote facilities of Ammonium Phosphate Sulphate (APS), Diammonium Phosphate (DAP) Areas

Real Time project on “Design of PID Controller for Magnetically Levitated Vertical Axis Wind Turbine in LowWind Speed Applications using LabVIEW”. Industrial Consultancy project on “Magnetic Levitation System (MLS)” using Real time FPGA programming in NI- cRIO 9074, NI 9505, NI 9381 for Innovative Invaders. Advanced NI modules were used in this NI sponsored consultancy project in association with Velammal Engineering College to build a rugged Levitation system to act as benchmark for various applications resulting from it.
