I prepare each learner for testing in the MIG, TIG, and SMAW processes. During My time with Tri County I have a 100% pass rate on student welding certification tests. Along with a 100% employment rate after graduation. I wrote and obtained a grant from the Governor’s Office of Appalachia for the amount of $160,000 for the installation of a new ventilation system for the welding lab. I prepare and balance the budget for the program and make purchases and keep a good with relationship with vendors.

Boilermakers Local 667 - Winfield, WV - November 2003 to April 2012

Completion of the Boilermakers National Apprenticeship, which is a four year 6,000 hour accredited training program. I provided key services in the repair of large and small boilers in the power plant industry. I was involved in many critical lifts where my rigging training came into use. I would be in direct contact with the crane operator for proper material handling and positioning. My welding partner and I was responsible for thousands of high pressure welds without ever having one defect (all welds where 100% x-rayed). My foreman training and skills where put into play right after my apprentice training was complete. My crew of men was responsible for several 50 ton lifts which was completed before schedule.

My records that were kept in an orderly fashion improved the company’s record with DOT audits in turn saved thousands in fines resulting in better benefits for the employees.
