Emergency Straight Air Breaks in Locomotives

Description

Generally in the locomotives used straight air breaks .In this break working based on compressed air,the locomotive engine contains huge compressor the atmospheric air is sucks to the compressor after the air pressure ns temperature increased, the compressed air stores in the cylinder now the railway contains 8 wheels each two wheels haves break shoes with mechanical linkages. when compressed air sent to the main cylinder by using tripling valve, the valve maintains at required pressure in the reserviour.the compressed air srnt to the main break cylinder the compressed air pushes the piston automatically the breaks will be applies and the bogie will be stops
