Currently working as Sr. Audiologist in Hearing Plus (A Brand owned by Bengal Speech and Hearing Pvt. Ltd.) at Guwahati, Assam, India since 20th April, 2015.

CLINICAL INTERNSHIP

10 months internship was allotted. I was trained at Regional Institute of Medical Sceince, Manipur for 5 months in Department of ENT. Another 5 months internship was completed at All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, Mysore, in the department of Clinical services and department of Audiology. I have attended 2 speech and hearing camps during my internship.

RESEARCH

Worked, as a part of my dissertation, on "Development of Bisyllabic Wordlist for Speech Recognition Threshold in Manipuri Language for Adult" for the fulfilment of MSc Audiology course.

CLINICAL EXPOSURE

 Two years experience in hearing related assessment which include BOA, PTA, Immitance, OAE, ABR, ENG, VEMP, ASSR, Speech Audiometry, SISI, TDT etc.

 Two years experience in hearing aid fitting of almost all the major hearing aid companies except Widex and Starkey products.

 Two years experience in auditory verbal therapy for paediatric population.

CLINICAL PROFICIENCY

As part of B.Sc (Speech and Hearing) and M.Sc (Audiology), I got training in theoretical and clinical aspects (diagnostics and therapeutics) of the following-

Administration and interpretation of screening and diagnostic procedures such as Pure Tone Audiometry, Speech Audiometry, Behavioral Observation Audiometry, Immittance Test, Oto-acoustic Emissions, Auditory Brain stem Responses, Electrocochleography, Cortical Evoked Potentials, Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potentials.

Test battery for differential diagnosis between Cochlear and Retrocochlear pathology.

Test battery for diagnosing and rehabilitation of cases like Auditory Dys-synchrony, (Central) Auditory Processing Deficits, Pseudohypocusis, Tinnitus and Hyperacusis.

Vestibular assessment and diagnosing conditions of Nystagmus, Central or Peripheral lesion and

Meniners disease.

Hearing Aid fitting, programming of hearing aids, electroacoustic measurements, real ear measurements, assistive listening devices, ear mould impression and fitting, auditory training, counselling.

Candidacy of cochlear implant, Cochlear implant mapping, Auditory Verbal Therapy and Counselling.

Diagnosis and rehabilitation of Paediatric and Adult speech and language disorders like Delayed Speech and Language with or without hearing loss, Mental- Retardation, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, PDD, Stuttering, Cluttering, Misarticulation, Cleft Palate, Aphasia, Dyslexia, Dysarthria, Apraxia, Voice Disorders and Laryngectomy.
