FINANCIAL ANALYST, POSTLETHWAITE & NETTERVILLE, NEW ORLEANS LA, 2014 – 2016 Analyzed financial statements of companies of all sizes and in all industries, for-profit and non-profit, reconciled statements across divisions, consulted with plaintiffs, plaintiff’s counsel and industry experts, with the goal of determining the value of losses in mass litigation cases. In doing this work, it was essential to quickly enter financial data into Excel and the accounting software with the utmost accuracy. CONTROLLER and IT MANAGER, CHAPTER 13 TRUSTEE, METAIRIE LA, 1996 – 2013 Managed financial operations for this bankruptcy trusteeship, a non-profit organization with seventeen employees and annual revenues of $40 million. Responsibilities included monitoring the compliance with bankruptcy law of more than 8,000 cases; managing payables, receivables, and general ledger systems; managing payroll and employee benefits; producing monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial reports; month-end reconciliation of trust and operating accounts; producing short- and long-term budgets; analyzing variances; working with outside auditors and governmental agencies.

Significant accomplishments in this position include the following:

Using SQL and Crystal Reports, I developed an automated procedure for monitoring receivables from more than 8,000 cases, which produced reports, collection letters, and documents ready to file in court

In collaboration with a mass mailing firm, we developed a procedure for automating both mailing and court filing, with which we were able to process an average of 1,200 documents weekly with a minimum of manual labor

Working with vendors and consultants, I managed a major ERP conversion, transitioning from UNIX and a proprietary database application to Windows Server and SQL, without any office downtime

After Hurricane Katrina, despite damage to our office and computer equipment, and no way to contact employees, I had the office running as soon as power was restored to our building one month after the disaster
