• Baan Available to Promise on Sales Orders (SLS), Sales Quotes (QUO) & Production Orders (SFC) via an IBM MQ-Series Proxy Server to pass messages to and from the MIMI production scheduling system in real-time.

• Based on a common Oracle view for Sales (SLS), Production (SFC) and Replenishment (RPL) orders to extract (batched) data based on Adds/Changes/Deletes of Orders captured by (real-time) Oracle Triggers.

• I had to remap one Baan Order to multiple Legacy Orders based on complex restrictions in the legacy ordering system. A cross reference was maintained along with complex transformation rules.

• Customers, Consignees, Order Balance, Corporate Credit, Order Planning, Product and Customer Allocation. Changes were captured by Oracle triggers in real time and passed in batch mode to the legacy systems.

• 22 Data Warehousing sessions which were loaded nightly and passed by via Oracle staging tables.

• Delivery Addresses via Legacy EDI was linked via Oracle triggers to the Consignee Interface Digital Security Controls : Concord, ON : (8 months)

• Part of a team that designed and developed a bolt-on Repairs and Returns module for DSC’s multi-company environment and was showcased at Baan World Users conference in Toronto.

• The Repairs and Return module was designed with flexibility to use a newly created RMA order steps table, which allowed sessions to be run in any order and for different RMA processes for each of their companies.

• Along with this, ‘disposition’ tables were created for verification, approvals and repairs decision points. A matrix would be set up with all possible combinations of attributes (repairable, scrap, credit, exchange, 3rd party) and based on that determine what the next step in the process was where straight order steps were insufficient.

• Limited integration with Standard Baan (S/O and P/O generation, no inventory impact)

• Auto conversion of cryptic alphanumeric date codes for warranty calculations

• MSL was in a major time crunch brought on by last minute requirements from their supplier (HP) to create direct shipment model in Baan-they were currently shipping to distribution centres. We worked with vague ideas jotted down and no functional designs. We were under intense pressure to complete a stable fully functional system from scratch in 6 weeks or less, which we accomplished!

• Learned ZPLII to write Baan reports to communicate with Zebra label/barcode printer due to lack of drivers.
