(A)Sourcing quality deliverables for new development:
Manage and develop the existing and potential supplier pool and update the approved vendor list.
Search for new potential suppliers and develop a comprehensive supplier data base.
Identifying & analyzing the capabilities of suppliers and conducting techno commercial negotiation.
Define the scope of supply, cost finalization, supply and price agreements for new product development.
Ensuring APQP time line for new project SOP through co-ordination with Prog. Mgmt.
Responsible for manufacturing feasibility through GDNT, sign-off at the time of APQP kick –off.
Derive KPC (Key product characteristic), ECR and getting approval from engg dept.
T0, T1, PPAP, PTR run & component approval for the same through tool & mould trial & correction.
Supplier Assessment Survey,APQP Timeline, Defining Process Sequence, Tool Design Approval, Feasibility Study of Tool for Production, Attending tool try outs, Approving Tools, Welding Fixtures & Moulds
Determine quantity and timeline, adhering to project delivery schedule.
Involve in should costing and cost engineering discipline and work with cross functional teams.
Check and validate APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA. PFD,, PFMEA, Control plan, Work instruction sheet, as per DEERE norms.
( B)Global sourcing for strategic integration
Monitoring supplier assessment survey &, leading the supplier for improvement.
Quality system implementation at supplier end as per global norms (JDQPS)
Conduct periodic audit of suppliers process capability and execution of necessary actions in order to provide necessary technical assistance and expertise for any observed bottlenecks
Capacity enhancement by improving process & taking cost benefit for same (through benchmarking).
Work closely with global Commodity Leaders to identify and assess localization opportunities
Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
Solving of supplier queries and other difficulties during development through specification meeting.
Monitor procurement target monitoring for each supplier in the BU as per the corporate policy.
Handling and realization of Risk and Claim Management including contractual agreements with suppliers.
Collection of information on prices & technical parts under consideration of commercial and technical requirements.
Identify the problems restraining the suppliers from meeting the QCD parameters in order to conduct detailed defect analysis, communication to vendor and obtain CAPA for quality issues.
( C)Inventory management for commodity
Ensure optimum level of inventory, and no surplus material.
Ensure 100% PPA (Production Plan Adherence) with target of Zero Idle time on Production line.
Continuous Min-Max monitoring of Raw Material and BOP materials at plant and take necessary actions if shortfalls.
Forecasting for the spare parts which are to be discontinued and maintaining stock at vendor end with the help of History data & FFR (Field Failure Ratio) from QA.
Take necessary steps to reduce lead times and lot size (thereby promoting the culture of procurement as per consumption
Managing strong network with supplier & logistic representative to maintain KANBAN &FIFO.
Maintaining inventory stock as per company norms.
Making supplier flexibility understanding for flexible manufacturing plan on daily basis.
(D) Project management integration for supply chain
Responsible for flawless launch of product.
Presenting project quality update to global leadership for DB,LPB& SOP.
create governance mechanism to ensure that Projects and delivery is on track and any unresolved issues appropriately
Effectively maintain Phase Gate time line for new project SOP through co-ordination with Prog. Mgmt
Phase wise signoff document preparation with prog. Mgmt.-for quality deliverable
Risk assessment for critical supplier sourcing base.
Quality concern resolution tracking & plan for meeting the launch date.
Mitigation plan for unmitigated issue
