Engineering and Design – Bristol Roundabout West Hartford, CT

University of Hartford, CE 460 January 2016 – May 2016

The intersection of Rt. 69 at Peacedale St. and Maple Ave in Bristol, CT had an uprising safety issue based on the crash data from 2008 to 2010. The project is to improve the escalating events of accidents by developing conceptual roundabout designs including vertical and horizontal geometry. Alternative designs are studied using computer simulation and analytic modeling in PTV Vissim software.
