Trent Hypermarket Ltd (THL) is 50/50 joint venture between Tesco PLC & Tata Group’s Trent Limited, Trent Hypermarket Ltd (THL), operates the Star Bazaar retail business in India.

Job Responsibilities:

To meet distribution center expenses as per the monthly budget, maintain a track report of daily expenses & take corrective measure to control the cost.

Maintain proper DC asset records with valuation & facilitate asset audits.

Validate vendor invoices against the POs issued by scrutinizing the GRN qty, value & taxes, highlight any differences to the vendors & resolve the variance for bill clearance.

Raise debit notes for any shortage or damaged quantity received from the vendors.

Record keeping inward receiving in the system as well as proper filing of inward documents with systematic numbering system for easy retrieval.

Petty cash management

Scrap sales; identify scrap vendors & salvage the scrapped inventory at the best possible price.

Procurement of consumable, printing stationary & housekeeping material for the DC.

Ensure validity and renewal of various permits i.e. Weights and Measures Packing License stamping, Insecticide Licenses, Contract labour Registration etc.

Circulate monthly MIS with cost breakup to the management to get an insight on expenditure trends.

Handling all Govt. files (Form D, APMC, etc)

Highlight and resolved issues related day to day operations i.e staffs daily commute arrangements, water supply, housekeeping, manpower etc.

Prepair Production report

Preparation and updation of daily stock entries on a daily basis and preparation of report accordingly.

Checking the manual entries of stock challanwise that all the entries in the challan have been entered correctly and reconcile it from the concerned production staff if needed.

Assist the Production dept. as well as Marketing dept. with updating stock if asked and needed.

Apart from that I am supposed to assist the Documentation dept. also when needed and asked by the reporting authority.
