Manager of Incident & Problem Management

Hold direct accountability for the daily communications, updates and performance impact of 22 facilities and all locations across North America, including United States, Guatemala, Philippines and India. Partner with executive leadership in developing technical plans and strategies that align with business goals. Manage a team of 8 through effective coaching, guidance and direction. Work closely with all business units to oversee the troubleshooting and resolutions of system, telephony, network and application performance to improve incident management functions.

Combined the Managed Direct Energy Mission Control team with the Incident Management team to create the 6-person Incident and Problem Management Team, which led to improved efficiency and reduction of overhead costs.

Cross-trained all employees and implemented new (all-ring) phone systems at all facilities to allow all team members to respond to Incident and Problem Management inquiries.

Created new processes and solutions to manage systems and create redundancy, leading to significant decrease in financial impacts due to network, application and telephony outages.

Directed the implementation/modification, testing, deployment and integration network systems across various business units, including software and hardware upgrades.

Prepared and managed an annual budget of $8.5M.

Worked closely with executive leadership to determine technology requirements and introduced new solutions and systems that aligned with all business goals.

Developed and monitored KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), NPS (Net Promoter Scores) and automated processes, leading to improved efficiency and cost reduction.

Managed projects that included VMware virtualization, VDI, Storage Area Network and telecommunications/Cisco Call Center; oversaw the implementation across all business units, domestic and international.

Oversaw the integration of networks between multiple lines of business in the US and international facilities.

BAR-S FOODS CO. 2009 – 2012

Director of IT – US Operations

Initially hired as IT Operations Manager/Lead Senior System Administrator; promoted to Director of IT role after 1 year of employment. Oversaw all US architecture and infrastructure, including 4 production facilities, 14 sales offices, 2 warehouses and corporate offices. Managed a team of 6 managers and 30 personnel in US and Mexico.

Directed an infrastructure redesign with the Network Team from local hardware to a 100% virtualized environment using SAN technology and VMware.

Managed $7.45M budget, implementing cost control and renegotiated contracts, saving $1.23M.

Successfully integrated all US infrastructures into one unified system after the US buyout.

AMAZINGMAIL.COM, INC. 2007 – 2009

IT Manager/Senior Lead System Administrator

Provided oversight of desktop support, assigned work from helpdesk queue, trained and supervised helpdesk staff, managed vendor relationships and managed Level 3 Desktop Support escalation. Assumed responsibility for designing all network architecture, asset management/inventory and the administration of VMware Server addition.
