About Me

I am an enthusiastic, creative and goal driven designer who has high standards visible in any project I undertake. I am able to work across a range of digital platforms and design processes. I am confident, easy going and enjoy working in a lively team atmosphere where having fun is part of a successful working environment. One of my skills, applicable in todays growing mobile market, is the ability to efficiently design across a range of screen sizes and devices. Whilst working for AIA Worldwide I excelled in talking to and retrieving information from clients.I was able to educate them about their audiences true needs and guide them into having a focused and functional design. Having worked closely with developers on many live projects I have a good understanding of the time scales and the processes involved. I have experience in working under team and production management as well as small operations. As a senior UX designer I was often required to lead a small team, delegate tasks such as research, conduct daily sessions and report progress to management. My involvement in launching live projects on tight deadlines has enabled me to cope with pressure positively whilst maintaining high standards and creativity. As a designer I am conscious to approach problems from all angles (who the user is, the platform etc. ..) allowing me to offer a variety of solutions. I’ve worked with several brands such as BP, Three Mobile, DHL, Thales, IHG and Disney which has given me valuable experience in dealing and communicating with large profile clients and strict branding guidelines.

I am currently freelancing whilst I travelling and experiencing what it’s like to win my own work. My most recent project was re branding for a high tourist spot restaurant and motel, this included print and website deliverables which can be found on my website portfolio. Achievements

The first milestone achievement in my career was when I worked for MagicSolver, a small start up business in Cambridge developing applications for iOS and Android devices. The main application was an advent calendar promotional tool that was very successful and received over 1 million installs and ranked number 1 in the app charts in many countries yearly. Each year I worked on the project we perfected the experience resulting in increased downloads. In 2013 throughout December the app received over 40 million sessions from users around the world, showing us people were playing the games frequently each day. The success of this project enabled us to pitch and win work for Disney making a similar advent style application.

During my time in London I was lead UX designer on a project requiring the restructuring of a careers website for the courier company DPDHL. The Site was to work across all device types and in two languages. My role in this project was largely compiling the information architecture of the old content and designing a new layout that would accommodate it. Creating an interactive wireframe for the clients understanding was critical to aiding conversations. The successful completion of this project helped the German branch of AIA Wordwide, the company I was working for, secure business with new European partners.
