Project: 2x500 MW Thermal Power Plant (Owner- NTPL-NLC Tamilnadu Power Ltd.)

Oversee all the QC work in the department of welding.

Manage the daily activities of two QC Assistants.

Conduct Quality check-up of all raw materials in accordance with project requirements.

Review the project specifications, welding procedures specified & qualify the procedures.

Plan & develop the welding procedure specifications for forth coming jobs.

Prepare daily welding reports, verify the weld production reports.

Coordinate all NDT activities, review the NDT reports & ensure compliance to NDT requirements.

Qualify the Welders in 6G, 3G, and 2G as per ASME SEC IX, AWS D1.1, GTAW, SMAW, FCAW and SAW welding processes.

Monitor and ensure the calibration of Inspection, Measuring and Testing Equipments.

Project: Study of Quality Equipments

Object: Study the working of battery charger and inclinometer at Tata Motors.

Result:

In a battery charger, the charge current is dependent on the technology and capacity of battery being charged.

There are various varieties of battery chargers viz. simple, trickle, timer based, intelligent, fast, pulse and inductive.

Battery chargers are also characterized by a charge rate.

An inclinometer is a device that is used for measurement of the angles of slope and tilt with respect to gravity.

This device is also known by different names viz. tilt meter, tilt indicator, slope alert, slope gauge, gradient meter, gradiometer, level gauge, level meter, declinometer and pitch and roll indicator. An inclinometer is used to measure both inclines as well as declines.
