Project Description:

FICC’s current comparison and settlement system DVP is built on a very old technology set, i.e. a VMS operating system, Pascal as the main programming language (but also some Bliss and C++) and TMX as the database server. As the support for these technologies will not be available in near future, it is necessary that the system migrated to newer technologies. This will also enable DTCC to integrate the DVP application into the chosen architectural path and align the components to the appropriate DTCC organizational domains (e.g. CDTS, Risk, master files, etc). The primary objective of this project is to rewrite existing DVP application on a J2EE based platform using IBM WebSphere and Oracle (both on an AIX platform).

Played the role of a team lead in the project and trained the new joiners in the team.

The FICC Liquidity Reporting (FLQ) System will be created to automate the existing FICC Liquidity Study process. This new system will gather data from Distributed and Mainframe sources and create MBSD and GSD Liquidity reports for both internal and external use.

The system will be web based and allow Risk Analysts to run internal reports on-demand and change report parameters in response to market condition via a report creation screen. The system will also produce reports for MBSD participants.

MBS Clearing is a legacy mainframe-based application that offers TBA netting, risk management, notification of settlement (NOS) and reporting services to institutional organizations that trade in MBS securities from the Government National Mortgage Assoc. (GNMA), Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp. (FHLMC) and Fannie Mae (FNMA). Responsibilities:
