Randem as Business Analyst / Project Delivery Manager Jul 2015 to present

At Randem, I facilitate as a Project Delivery Manager, Business Analyst and a Trainer. Technologies I am working with are BigCommerce, Demandware, iOS, FieldForce, cloud, Middleware ERP and CRM.

As a Business Analyst I drive the requirement gathering/ analysis phase and document and define the requirements, changes, enhancements as user stories and stack them in MOSCOW model

I have re-engineered the change management process by creating a requirement traceability matrix (RTM) which eased the resourcing process to these added requirements by using the RACI model

As a Project Manager I administer the solution implementation, create, research and respond to help tickets and JIRA, device solution for identified risks and maintain the SCRUM backlog

I have incorporated daily stand-up meetings and sprint retrospectives which enabled the team to resolve blockers effectively and enhanced overall development coordination

Optimize IT Systems as Business Analyst Feb 2014 to Jul 2015

At Optimize my role was that of a Business Analyst and a Trainer. Technologies I worked with are Android, iOS, SQL, SalesForce, Augmented Reality (AR), cloud and PhoneGap.

As a Business Analyst I controlled things end to end, functional/ technical requirements, meeting notes, change requirements (CR), UI/ UX requirements, test strategy validations, go-live schedule

I coordinated JAD sessions with both internal and on-shore (US) teams to analyze the documented business requirements against the recommended functional solution and the business model

I headed the BA domain for CMMI appraisal process and successfully cleared interviews on BA techniques, maintenance of RTM, test case review, UAT and overall SDLC procedures as followed

IBM as Project Associate / Product Specialist Sep 2012 to Oct 2013

At IBM I donned the hat of a Project Associate and a Product Specialist. Technologies I worked with are QuickBase, cloud, SAAS, ERP and Point of Sale (POS).

As a Project Associate I interviewed customers/ end-users and clarified requirements that had to be coded and custom integrated in the vanilla Intuit software version

I streamlined and documented the non-supported features and the requirements as user cases, BRS/ SRS and prepared a business flow (Business Entity Diagram) to remove any ambiguity later

I partnered with the end-users and resolved any queries and smoothed out any kinks that surfaced during the UAT phase and provided with the modified end-user manual

As a Product Specialist I consulted the customers on their business requirements and suggested that particular off-the-shelf Intuit product for them, which would have a much shorter time to delivery

SpiceJet Airlines as Junior Systems Analyst Oct 2010 to Sep 2012

I started my career at SpiceJet as a Junior Analyst and was responsible for tracking and reporting operational and maintenance quality metrics.

I analysed and extracted reports from the BI analytics software on technical misdemeanours during engineering checks on flights to log them for remedial action

I quantified the technical, performance and compliance gaps that were identified by the BI analytics software against the base guideline value of the organisation

I had earned a reputation for successfully keeping a check on the reported issues against the ceiling for maintenance error management system (MEMS) by conveying timely remedial measures for them

I suggested for the exclusion of Rusada MM software and include the MM modules in the existing Airline Resource Management System (ARMS) software, which lowered overall cost to operate

Projects

The Hershey’s Company, world-renowned manufacturer of chocolate and non-chocolate confectionary.

As a Business Analyst, derived requirements from raw MS-word data and oversaw designing a mobile application that would aid users visit Hershey’s Chocolate World by allowing them to find information, signup for offers and events and plan their itinerary for a visit with their families or friends.

Outcome: Annual footfall at Hershey’s Chocolate World rose by 25%.

Subaru, a Japanese automobile manufacturer

As a Project Manager, headed my team to develop and integrate the new ACC module in the existing FieldForce app implementation, which helped the field engineers and distributors to seamlessly communicate with their customers directly and automate the process of task creation and administration.

Outcome: Decreased service turnaround time to 50% and increased customer satisfaction index.

TeleCommunication Systems, a leading global telecom company.

As a Business Analyst, derived functional and non-functional requirements through a series of interviews with the client to develop a non-emergency issue reporting application for civilians. A prototype was also created along with the app for a more variety of applications such as an issue registering app in schools, universities and in military, which is changing the way issues are reported to authorities.

Outcome: A working CVP prototype ready for application in different systems with a little re-configuration.

WA Fresh Delivered, an Australian FMCG manufacturer and distributor

As a Project Manager, derived technical and functional requirements from the client, drove development of the new website and automated the process of purchase order and invoice generation for vendors and implemented a checkout process which automatically suggested his customers the next shippable dates based on time of purchase and non-shipping days.

Outcome: Revamped website with complete automation of the order generation, payment and shipping process.

Intuit, a top software firm in finance domain.

As an off-shore Product Specialist, pioneered in implementing a self-help wizard that directs application users to answers for a variety of known issues and errors instead of the customer calling the free helpline number every time. Also, did requirements elicitation to re-configure and deploy Off-The-Shelf products as per the customer’s business needs.

Outcome: Waiting time for customers reduced to nil, and customer satisfaction index peaked.

Spicejet, a no-frills international airliner.

As an analyst, I revamped the tracking and reporting of technical, performance and compliance gaps in the operation of ARMS software used for resource allocation and engineering warehouse management of the airline. Worked with ARMS’s IT team to bring down the cost of the software operation by identifying and disabling unnecessary modules that was bulking up the expenditure.

Outcome: Smoother operation and reduced ambiguity resulting in lesser grounded flights, which in turn increased profit.
